Thrilled that my first new short story in several years, "Constellations," about astronauts crashlanding on a distant planet, has been published by the @technologyreview.com. Acquiring editor Rachel Cortland. Art by Rogan Brown. Free link to avoid the paywall: ter.li/r3tbrsgr

NASA reminded us all that, even in the darkest of times, our flag is still there. 🇺🇸 ❤️
Picture of the century. 😍

This is how Bruce Springsteen opened his concert in Los Angeles last night. 🔥🔥

The only persons who can say and it be true, “I love you from the moon and back.”
Sincerely… NASA couldn’t have chosen a better team of people for this mission. They have been a bright light in the shadowy time here. It’s been a joy to watch.

Love the the Artemis crew.
Four extraordinary humans: brilliant, disciplined, and deeply mission-driven.
What stands out even more than their intelligence is their character.
Kindness. Positivity. Humility. Empathy.
The future of space exploration shouldn’t just be bold, it should be human.

“If they can automatically enroll men into the draft at 18, they can automatically register Americans to vote at 18.
Ask yourself why they won’t”

all these universities kept axing medieval history departments as if they thought tyrants beefing with the Pope was going to stop being relevant
Screw autonomous vehicles, I needs one of these.
I thought I was sick of the thought of space travel.
Turned out I was really sick of billionnaire vanity projects.
What NASA's doing is incredible and has got me excited about space exploration again.
Earth behind the Moon
Awesome image from Artemis.
Big!
A starfield filled with thousands of stars and shining clouds of dust. The Milky Way\u2019s elegant spiral structure is dominated by just two arms wrapping off the ends of a central bar of stars. Spanning more than 100,000 light-years, Earth is located along one of the galaxy\u2019s spiral arms, about halfway from the center. Credit: NASA
OH. MY. GOD.
THIS IS THE MILKY WAY SHOT BY THE ARTEMIS II CREW. LOOK AT ALL THOSE STARS!!!!
Please enjoy my cartoon for Tuesday's Toronto Star
They're currently working on taking a picture of the crew from a camera on the solar array, through the capsule windows, which is very cool

Beautiful crescent view of Earth from the Artemis II crew on April 3rd.

NASA just dropped this image of Artemis II astronaut Christina Koch looking back at us. The first woman to ever see our planet in its entirety. I’m not crying you’re crying 🥹🔭🧪 📸: NASA
That's home. That's us.
This image of home just came down from the Artemis II crew.

Why do we live in such a childish, stupid country? A country that wastes its money on useless billion dollar aircraft carriers, when it could be spending those tax dollars to actually help its citizens like sane countries.
The Netherlands just launched a platform in the middle of the North Sea that converts wind electricity into green hydrogen fuel without the electricity ever touching land.
The NortH2 offshore hydrogen platform sits 200 kilometers off the Dutch coast, directly connected by underwater power cables.
Andor's Deedra Meero at the moment she realizes she's screwed. Director Krennic stands behind her, with his gloved finger pressing down on the top of her head as she wears a wide-eyed expression of terror.
Once again, "Andor" delivers the goods.
Bondi, finding out she's being tossed aside.
How grim are these times? First time in my long life that on April 1st, I have not seen a single April Fool’s joke all day.
No lighthearted, silly or surprising April Fool’s joke, not ONE.
Who could be more unbelievable than the players on today’s world stage?
NOTHING FAKE can out do our REALITY
Would love to edit an anthology of very diverse religious horror.
My Favorite sign of all time at a No Kings Protest.
So F--king True!
This has been the GOP's "starve-the-beast" scheme for nearly 50 years. Meanwhile, millions suffer and struggle to get ahead as the rich get richer. See the problem here?
We’re gearing up for No Kings. We have a team monitoring online news and tracking threats that have been made by MAGA.
Media suppression of protest turnout is always a major problem, so we’re relaunching two tools to fight back: our photo sharing on the site, and our crowd size reporting tool
The shipment also includes 73 solar panels, along with batteries and flashlights to help deal with ongoing electricity shortages. Dozens of volunteers took part, along with around 30 international participants from Latin America, Europe, and the United States.
It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford. It’s about priorities.
