I did not have getting banned from NextDoor for not using my legal first name on my bingo card. I mean, I could edit to my real name & send them a copy of a legal ID as proof, but that seems far over the bounds for a knock off Facebook. #NextDoor
I think I've got some Orlon in my stash somewhere - picked it up at a yard sale years ago.
When I was checking the size of needle I'd been using on the hat I've been knitting so I could find the correct DPN for the decreases, I realized that I'd used one #6 tip and one #7 tip for the body...apparently I forgot to swap the second one when I got to the end of the first row. Welp. 😆
The leg of a pair of black pants covered with many bits of light-colored alpaca fiber.
Totally not obvious that I just wound a skein of alpaca-mix yarn, right? 🤣 #Yarn
Finally got around to swapping one of my bras to a cross-back rather than the traditional...omg. If it works as well as I think it's going to, this is gonna be awesome.
I also pinched the shit out of my hand below my index finger w/pliers. Definitely not awesome feeling.
Saaame. 😂 And having to remember which is the main color for the side I'm working on!
Whoops. Totally forgot to check the start date of the Winter Olympics, so of course I have almost nothing prepared for the Winter Ravellenics kickoff at midnight. I've got three hours, surely I can come up with something, right? #Knitting #Ravelry
It always takes my brain a little while to adjust when I start a double knitting project.
That's really neat!
Lots of anti-ICE cross-stitch and embroidery showing up on my feeds and I'm here for it.
An icy teal blue twisted Hank on a bed of untwisted hanks in the same color yarn. There is a graphic ribbon in white across which reads “Dye Mad Yarns’ 2026 color of the year is… FUCK ICE”
Our 2026 color of the year is… Fuck ICE. See this and our whole palette here: dyemadyarns.com/collections/... #knitsky #crochet 🧶
I think it's interesting that it was recommended that I not take my vitamins (over the counter D3 & B12 per doctors) the week preceding my colonoscopy 'cause they're not FDA approved so their ingredients can't be 100% confirmed.
I think crochet is so prevalent right now because amigurumi has gotten huge over the last several years. It's also gotten much more popular for cosplay and other wearables. It's having its time in the spotlight. :)
I don't think knitting is dying (I also knit), but it's less versatile than crochet.
Screenshot from the weekly email Fitbit sends out with the previous week's stats. 46,660 steps for the week, with an average of 6,666 per day, and an increase of 12,402 over the week previous last week.
According to my Fitbit, I averaged 6,666 steps per day last week. 🤘😈
A four panel comic. The first three are of a blue blobby character licking a black/grey boot. The third panel adds two more character, one yellow, one green, along with the blue one that continues to lick the boot. The green characters says "Hmm...what's up with this fella?" The yellow ones replies "Oh, he thinks its okay that cops can murder people on a whim, without consequence". Credit: Tiny Snek Comics

A black and white photograph of Dale Earnhardt sitting inside a NASCAR race car with the text "You cannot love your neighbor while supporting or accepting systems that crush, exploit, or dehumanize them. You cannot love your neighbor while accepting less for them and their family than you do for you and your family." Credit: Comrade Dale Earnhardt (Facebook)
Note to self, don't try to be clever and schedule both a follow up with your GP and your monthly Saphnelo on the same day, 'cause both involve needles and right arm pokes hurt more. :( #ItsAlwaysLupus #ItsNotLupus #AutoimmuneDisease

WELKER: Is the Cuban government the Trump administration's next target?
MARCO RUBIO: Well, the Cuban government is a huge problem. Yeah.
WELKER: Is that a yes?
RUBIO: I think they're in a lot of trouble, yes
The sheer audacity to claim this is about drugs just weeks after pardoning one of the largest narcotics traffickers in the world.
Does this President think the American people will fall for this?
Isn't it odd that the United States has enough money to suddenly run Venezuela, but not enough to run our own country?
There is always cash in the piggy bank for bombs to kill people, but never for healthcare to keep them alive.
TFW you get two estimates for medical stuff & they're both over $2k, but then you remember your deductible is $2k so the next 6 mo. (renews at the end of June) of medical stuff is about to get cheaper.
But $2k out of pocket right after Xmas and AWA is still owie.
But hey, US healthcare's great! /s
A seven panel comic from The Oatmeal of someone asking an oracle how they can live forever. They ask if they should create art, be famous, or be powerful. The Oracle's answer is to be kind.
Guildmates were chatting about how annoying/hard Suramar is in Lemix and I'm just reading it and looking confused. I agree it's a long questline, but hard? Naaah. Tank class, a little gear, some vers, then you're basically unstoppable! 😂💪 #WorldOfWarcraft
So the “closed” daycares…were closed during the last week of the year, during which most daycares are closed. And the doors were “locked,” which they are at every daycare. And they wouldn’t let in a “journalist” with a camera…which they wouldn’t do at any daycare. Got it.
Just passed a cyber orange Mach-E with a Senpai Squad sticker on the lift gate, and now I feel the need for a weeb magnet for mine so we weebs can recognize each other in the wild. 😆
That's really neat!
