I realized the other day that in a couple weeks it will be 20 yrs since my diagnosis of incurable cancer.

Spoiler alert: I didn’t die.

I realized this afternoon that I’m a few weeks away from the 20th anniversary of my cancer diagnosis! I’m shocked & oh so grateful.

My mother and grandmother were diagnosed with the same cancer years before and both of them died from it, but me? I don’t even see my oncologist any more.

I’d like to thank President Trump for making me finally apply for my proof is Canadian citizenship.

Dog was unimpressed but the cat? Hella impressed. Or terrified. Hard to tell the difference with him.

Today is my birthday and I heard from so many friends and family. I really do feel loved.

I canceled Prime and life went on just fine. I do my research on Amazon then go directly to the manufacturer to buy. And Bezos doesn’t get a penny from me.

I grew up hearing “Dodge, piece of junk”. Dad would never own one because, I assumed, he’d had a bad experience. So I asked one day and it turned out his grandfather had a lemon. 4 generations of potential buyers lost because of bad customer service. It matters.

He’s made me hate my country and to be embarrassed to be an American.

And he’s pathetic enough to accept it.

I lost a dear friend over that election. She voted for Clinton and Biden and then Trump. I tried to understand for a few months, but wasn’t able to, especially as things declined. I can never forgive her without a full throated apology.

I’m reading A Return to Common Sense and am loving it. @politicsgirl.bsky.social has written an elegant synopsis of what the hell is going on right now with loads of context. My only caution is to not listen to the recording while driving to Thanksgiving dinner. I got there a little fired up.

A high EQ is a better predictor of success than a high IQ. She’s actively avoiding helping him develop his EQ so my prediction is that this kid is screwed.

I have a relative here on a lapsed visa. She’s young, cute, and white so I’m sure she’s fine.

I’m sure he thinks they are celebrating him. 🙄
