I think a Republican governor would be recalled. I also think Bacerra is a weak nobody. We need a fighter.

that was the distant past. Long ago and far away, or at least long ago, and the past is a different country and state.

I absolutely refuse to abandon my right to a primary over fear of Republicans that are likely to immediately be recalled if they ever got into office.
Why? Because the state is overwhelmingly Dem, so R governor in 2026 would be a procedural fluke, not remotely will of the people, hence recall likely

a lot of BS propaganda gets pumped out in wartime. The enemy is always pure evil. I don't have a problem with having fought WWII mind you. Deciding to fight a war is a different matter. But never believe war propaganda.

your centrists aren't impressive either though. Nor are the UKs. All of a piece really.

we ALL have an interest in food supply.
But what if I ran the world? I'd nationalize all the farms. I'm kidding. But neither does pure free market policy actually work for necessities. Government involvement is natural and necessary.
I'd prob push toward smaller farms and farms for food not fuel.

not likely, Biden had 100% tariffs on Chinese EVs. We should flip the house and senate anyway.

17 hours ago 0 0 0 0

I doubt it is that easy to get past the 100% tariffs.

Isn't about the only time Dems even matter right now Senate appointments and budget. And budget is usually some horrible blackmail, we will starve people until it's passed. I suppose Senate appointments could be held up indefinitely.

they are all drinking themselves to death on the job, like there could be a whole Trump chapter of AA if they ever wanted to recover.

why should his parents returns filter down into his bank account until maybe they die (where there may be inheritance, yea that usually happens after someone dies ...)

it's less than the blood clot risk from pregnancy though. Which is often the reason for using birth control. Pick your poison.

nah dirty little secret here is Norway still exports a lot of oil, it's still a petrostate.

3 days ago 3 0 1 0

absence of VAT in the u.s. maybe, but most states do have sales taxes.

3 days ago 1 0 0 0

I know when you add on state taxes, plus of course payroll taxes, maybe it's less than Norway, but it's not even that low.

Ok, but aren't they just getting stopped by the U.S. blockage anyway, or has that changed? Very hard to keep up.

This sounds a lot like the policies of another politician I am familiar with, his name is Donald Trump.

it gives you a wealthy outlook, but it's probably possible to have wealthy parents and have little access to that money if they disinherit/disown/refuse all requests for help. NOT the case here though. And even then one still probably had advantages in terms of education and the like.

so what is a characteristic Boomer band? Rolling Stones? Jagger is silent gen. What is stereotypical Gen X listens? Morrisey, Depeche Mode, Madonna? All Boomers.

music of people in their 20s is often popular with the kids of the time, those that are teens and literal kids. So one could say it's Gen X music.
