So excited to see Newsbeat’s journalism being picked up by different places in the BBC and I’m so proud when I manage to get them a byline!
It’s a privilege to continue to grow in this role alongside them 🤓

I can’t believe its been over 5 months working at BBC Radio 1, 1xtra and Asian Network’s Newsbeat! 🎙️📻
I want to share some #weekendwins and #studioselfies from both the Mailbox in Birmingham and Media City in Salford.
I’m back with the Radio Manchester team - yesterday I was reading the news and today I am out and about reporting!
Here’s an article I wrote for them the other week when I was reporting for them:

Other moments I’ve reported on for BBC England over the last few months are the ceasefire agreement, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor losing his titles and the synagogue attack on the 2nd of October.
What a day to read the news last night for all 39 BBC local radio stations! It was a privilege to broadcast on such a big news story like the budget for across the country.

My key tips were: don’t let anyone put you in a box, network, say yes to all and any opportunities and if there is no opportunity, just do it yourself!

Proud to be sharing my experiences of investigative journalism, presenting and producing World Service programmes, reporting for radio, TV and online in regions, making docs, reading the news, broadcasting the trafffic, presenting commercial radio programmes and overseeing weekends on Newsbeat.
It was an absolute privilege to be part of a media panel yesterday at the University I fell in love with media at, The University of Manchester.
I remember when I was a student there and I attended a similar event, meeting an investigative journalist (I even bought and read his book!)
I made a programme on the project of the ‘World’s largest dam’ earlier this year for the BBC World Service’s #TheInquiry. It’s been announced its going ahead: www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I’ll be looking after weekends, I’m really excited to get started.
That also means I’m available during the week to work with the brilliant teams I have previously met and connected with too! (2/2)

And the fierce Alexis Strum with her pop music comeback and all the press she has got around it too.
Both incredibly inspirational people I had the pleasure of interviewing 4/5 years ago (!!) for my ‘Let’s Go Kickass Today’ podcast, which I used to produce, present and edit on my own.
I just want to take a moment to congratulate two of my former podcast guests for doing incredible things in their careers.
Nicholas Mccarthy for his upcoming debut at the BBC Proms this Sunday….

I spoke to people who spent £400 per ticket to see Oasis, who flew from Australia, Finland, Netherlands, Germany, Croatia, who were going three times, who left their country of Japan for the first time ever to see Oasis, it was incredible. I also appreciated the bucket hat one interviewee gave me 😂
Yesterday I spent the day in Manchester’s city centre interviewing people who have travelled far and wide to see the Gallagher brothers united again. It felt like reporting on a piece of history - all for BBC Radio 5 Live’s Wake Up to Money programme.
I enjoyed talking to Junie Lau for #WakeUpToMoney on BBC 5 Live about how Google’s new AI tool, Flow has given her new opportunities to pursue filmmaking. You can listen here from 47 minutes in: www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

Really proud of the impact the work I, Barbara, Liv, and my editor Henry Jones did on getting this piece of original journalism to air, then to front page of BBC News for most of the day, and now onto the BBC newsletter: www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Had fun reading the news today for BBC Radio Manchester from 7-12pm! It’s always exciting to have a live cricket hit in your sports bulletin too 🏏
Back on air tomorrow from 7am across Greater Manchester and on @bbcsounds.bsky.social

I’ll continue working on securing agenda setting interviews for BBC Radio 4’s Today programme and BBC Radio 5 Live’s Wake Up to Money programme, see below👇 a photo I took from a prerecord I did with Google for the Today programme!
After three years at Long Form Audio, presenting and producing World Service programmes and producing Radio 4 Investigative documentaries, it is time for a new chapter. I’m delighted to say I’m starting a new contract with BBC Business!
to now securing agenda setting business interviews for BBC Radio 5 Live’s Wake Up to Money programme and BBC Radio 4’s Today programme.
What a rollercoaster! I have no idea what’s in store next but I’ve enjoyed the ride.

Excited to add that, two of the guests I fixed for BBC Business programmes this week, were featured as highlights in the BBC Business weekly newsletter! 📈
Love it when the guests I book for the BBC Business Unit get picked up elsewhere! I organised Richard Lim to speak to BBC Radio 4’s Today programme yesterday morning and after his excellent interview, his comments are now in this BBC News article 👇

… to Trump’s tariffs and the manufacturing industry. I’m enjoying seeing my guests travel across the BBC too - with local radio stations clipping and interviewing guests I’ve picked for the programmes, as well as the pace of working in live radio once again! 📻
