I have this too, in the vinyl and CD box set. And the original CD and the Japanese CD version with the alternative artwork 😀

And ads are coming to Threads soon. We should all go back to sending postcards (or the back of a sealed envelope) to Swap Shop and hope our message gets read out!

I have found much the same. Everyone on Threads was coming over here and I from the few posts I have made have got little engagement at all. I also find too much political content here compared to Threads. I want to like it but something needs to change.

I really love Van Halen’s For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge album. It’s one of my favourite albums of all time. That is all I have for today.

It’s that time of year when I am very grateful for my factory fitted remote start.

It’s going well! Lots of songs to learn, many I have not heard before. We have hopefully have a busy year coming up. It also is much more organized than my previous band. And this is me wailing at band practice, just because 😀

I broke two strings at band practice this afternoon. A top E and a D. I did not break a single string in 2024 but two today. And I broke one last week. Crikey.

It’s very snowy here and I was apprehensive to drive out to band practice today. Luckily a band mate is close by and he has a more suitable vehicle than mine and will pick me up. Lunch today is delicious pizza and I am currently listening to Rod Stewart. More news as it comes in.

I record music myself and can’t even imagine how to do what they did on tape. Even on a computer it would still be quite the task!

I would agree! Their stacking of voices is legendary. I also love Brian May’s multi tracked guitar orchestras. I have been quite the enthusiast on this subject for quite some time 😀

I also recommend the Christmas Eve show from Hammersmith (A Night at the Odeon) for some very early Queen. Wembley ‘86 gets all kudos (quite rightly) but my favourite concert film of theirs is Montreal 82. It’s superb!

Recap of recent events for new followers: I left the covers band I have been playing with yesterday and later on that evening purchased Monster Truck tickets. I left work early today as a snow storm is imminent. I ate a delicious burrito for lunch and am currently listening to David Bowie.
