I hate how retaining your maiden name after marriage is still culturally taboo even if it's completely legal. I saw someone got married on Facebook, and one of the top comments was, "Congrats! But why are you still using your name?"

It's been three years since I wrapped up Quinn's story in my Metropolis Series. Happy birthday to my youngest, darkest child, "Quinn and Cassandra" 🪞🔪
Mosquitoes are brutal this time around. Can't wear sandals :(
I'm kinda getting tired of wearing running shoes everywhere. Haha
I'm very picky with shoes and swore off ordering them online, but I found these cute ones and I just had to get them. I hope they fit 😞
I wrote three chapters this month. I'm so happy 🥹
And the wife didn’t take her husband’s name. *gasp*
I have a married couple in my current WIP and I show them taking turns doing domestic labor. I wonder how many conservatives I’ll offend?
I’m loving that this WIP is in third person because it allows me to explore multiple POVs. I’m a nineteen-year-old and a woman in her forties at the same time. It makes me feel more flexible as a writer compared to my previous books, which were exclusively in a sixteen-year-old’s POV.
Reposted because the images didn't upload in the correct order 😅
An Excerpt from The Charli Project (Working Title) Coming 2028... hopefully
CHARLI TRUDGED AROUND the streets of the Metropolis with a backpack slung over her shoulder. The weather was just right for an evening out in the city; it wasn’t too hot that she would die from the humidity, nor were there heavy rains that would sweep her away. It was on those nights that she pursued her journey of self-discovery. She didn’t know where the destination was or what it was like, but she couldn’t just sit around and watch her life disappear with each passing day. She knew that the Author wasn’t coming back soon to fix any of this. Those who still put their hope in her return were like stupid kids who believed in Santa Claus. In reality, it was the Persona’s choices that perplexed her. With all the power she had, Charli often asked herself why the Persona had to stop at making the Metropolis safe when it could be fun, too. The important Archivist people might claim that Metropolitans could be whoever and do whatever they wanted, but looking around,
Charli knew that her choices were limited. She didn’t want to graduate from college just to become a cog in the capitalist machine. Plus marriage? Kids? She didn’t want anything to do with those, either. She dropped her bag by a big empty wall. It was on the side of one of those high-end condominiums that seemed to be popping up everywhere. And it was gray, too, which was the worst part. Things should have been easier for her now that Metropolis was stable, which meant she had no right to complain about the life she already had. However, she had an uncontrollable itch that wouldn’t go away, and she needed to find a way to satisfy it somehow. Painting on gray walls—adding color to the world—was the solution Charli had found.

Art vs. Artist - 2025 💖
I didn't make a lot of personal art this year, so decided to add my writing progress, too XD
Social media has gotten so overwhelming, but how else do I share my work? 😭
I plan to release this novel in 2028, marking the 10th anniversary of my debut novel, Quinn and the Metropolis. Nothing’s set in stone yet, but it’s nice to have a goal.
This book will be a standalone, but if you’ve read my Metropolis Series, Charli’s story will take place roughly 30 years after Quinn’s. I’ll admit that I haven’t made so much personal art this year because I chose to devote my free time to writing something new.
Merry Christmas 🎄🌟
Here’s a year-end drawing of my new characters, Charli and Kai, for my ongoing spin-off novel.
Words. 52k words. Should have specified lmao
Just realized that my Charli Project (Metropolis Spin-Off WIP) is at 52k. AAAAAAAAA
First time using Wise with a client, and it displays my complete, long ass legal name AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I should try to be more active here 😅
Why are conservative videos appearing on my YouTube feed? e__e

Charli (main character of my new WIP) is NOT happy that I stopped writing again 😂
I'm also so proud of the background 🌆✨
Drawing Julio and Quinn like I didn't make them miserable in my books 😔👍
