I tired, but I just can't. Maybe there comes a point to where the algorithm here will learn to stop putting political propaganda in my feed but I'm not going to wait to find out for my own sanity.
So I'm back to only posting on X: x.com/ryanwebdev

Any other Laravel devs from the Pacific Northwest? I'd like to try to setup a meetup. I know a place we could use in my hometown Spokane, WA (about 4-5hr drive or 40 min flight from Seattle).
I think I'm sold of Event Sourcing everywhere all the time. Just had a production bug that was duplicating data and messing with time sensitive stuff that relies on that data. Quickly writing a de-duplication migration and running it on prod data is so nerve racking.
Welcome to my new employee Chad G. (not sure I will use Procurement as his last name, that might give it up). See you Friday as we start to "onboard" Chad as my director of supplier relations & procurement.
Next live stream idea, take a break from my freelancing CRM (not sure it was that interesting anyway) and hire me an AI employee (GhatGPT API integration) to handle spam emails for me in the most hilarious fashion.
Any good suggestions for getting Twitch, YouTube, and X live stream chats combined into a single feed I easily see?
Well a bit of technical difficulties at the start but the livestream is finished. Got a good start on the data modeling and filament resource creation. Will finish that off camera to get into the fun stuff, webhooks and APIs next stream.
Can't figure out why Twitch isn't working, but live on X and on YouTube: www.youtube.com/live/nMvJX5G...
I will be going live with "Automating My Freelance Business with Laravel & Filament" in about 20 minutes. I plan to multi-stream on YouTube, Twitch, and on X.
Well I just went to @chickfila.bsky.social for some breakfast burritos, I get to the front of the drive though and the employee tells me some lady came though earlier and paid for a several orders, including mine.
Such amazing generosity from an unknown stranger.
I listen to Air1 radio a lot. And one of their favorite saying they're always repeating is "The world is full of nice people. If you can't find one be one."
I don't understand political donations. I made my first ever such donation to a presidential candidate. And now even though the election is long over, I am still getting letters from their party asking for more money. What for exactly?
Was it though? I want to build one for my freelancing business.
If spam filters could just reasonably identify just these 3 types of messages that would remove a large portion of the spam that I get.
At this point I honestly think I need to just look closely at each of those 3 types of email and find common phrases to make my own custom filter rules with.
1) I want to build you a website (love the irony of this one since I am a freelance web developer)
2) I want to help you sell your business
3) You have been approved for some financing (what a miracle since I never applied)
How are email spam filters this bad? 90% of spam, at least that I receive falls into one of 3 categories:
New webcam. Time to start recording some video, maybe a Livestream next Friday?
I was looking at Hey.com (I really like their email workflow) but there is no way for me to import my existing emails I need to save and I would have to pay separately for each domain I use even though they all combine into one inbox because its just for me.
Looking to leave @fastmail.com . Any good suggestions for email hosting (using your own domain) besides Google Workspace (frankly I don't trust Google with my data even if I am paying for it)?
If you want to follow me on X: x.com/ryanwebdev
So I finally broke down and made a a profile over here. X will still be my main social channel, but I will at least start cross posting here as an experiment.
