Following on from last week's bs "investigation" which absolutely misrepresented the scale and nature of people potentially claiming asylum under false grounds, it is exceptionally hard to see how this is in any way acceptable and not blatant bias. This is an advert not a news piece.

OMFG I had to go and check that this ACTUALLY happened.

Since when does the BBC ever do chyrons with a political party's branding, rather than their own? Not to mention this is during a pre-election campaign purdah.

How do they do a reform logo in front of No 10?

Just seen a man who was so shevelled and kempt, it looked like he'd been pushed through a hedge in a forwardly direction.

He's standing with his back to a mirror, taking a photo of the glasses with a phone. That seems like not a huge endorsement.

I'm always skeptical of BBC-bashing, but BBC News website hasn't reported on the Tice tax scandal since 12 April, when the headline was "Tice £91,000 tax row is 'minor administrative error', party claims".

Surrounded by windfarms but out of work: the reality of the green jobs boom on England’s east coast The government hails the ‘green revolution’ as a solution to economic decline, but some young jobseekers say the rhetoric does not match their experience

This is presented as a Guardian piece but the headline could easily pass in the telegraph.

A large bonfire burning at the water's edge, reflecting in the waves.

A large bonfire burning at the water's edge, reflecting in the waves.

Yesterday I saw the (Greek) Easter bonfire, burning Judas Iscariot at midnight on the shore.

It could have been a magical, spiritual experience but it was also time to discover that Greek attitudes to firework safety are slightly more lax than in the UK. #Crete #Easter #GreekOrthodox #Bonfire

I saw a Facebook post asking what date the 21st century officially began. Apparently 1st Jan 2001. This is because there was no year zero.

I don't like this. I don't like making a mistake and not fixing it. It's like Brexit for Gregorians.

So sad that the first thing to ask is the nationality. What world have we become?

The world has massive problems, but I hate it when a new downloaded book opens to page 1. Sir, I want to see the cover and the title page and the copyright year and the dedication. Don’t be telling me what I can and cannot skip when I’m the one reading the book.

Flight of fancy
Sir, I was interested to read David Scowcroft's letter about how much he and his wife are enjoying sex in their eighties (Apr I). My wife and I are both in our eighties and when she recently asked if I'd like to go upstairs to have sex I replied that she'd have to choose one or the other as I couldn't manage both.

Sapiens, page 5: A Crummy One One page at a time,  I'm reviewing  Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind  by Yuval Noah Harari.  Page 5 Please forgive the breakfast crumb....

It’s 5th April and time for my excellent friend @dunsworth.bsky.social to rip up page 5 of the execrable Sapiens. And this page contains the most scientifically ignorant sentence I have ever read in a book written by someone who is meant to be a scholar.
