It is found in Italy among other places. It has been known as Coluber leopardinus back in the 18th century.

This is exactly why I phrased it the way I did. The 20 cm ones are so rare that 15 cm is the 'usual' maximum size.

My GF's crazy neighbour contacted the Animal Protection Agency claiming that my GF's cat was being mistreated/kept under horrid conditions. They visited her today and found everything in order.
What's wrong with some people? Can you even prevent such things from happening?
You forgot to mention the fact that many of your posts show animals most of us didn't even know existed. I have learned a lot 'just' by following you.
A lizard on a dark piece of bark. It is various shades of orange with dark spots. The belly, throat, inside of legs and toes are white. It has its mouth slightly open and the tip of the tongue covers one nostril. The lizard is looking diagonally down and to the left of the camera.

Max size for males 28 cm (11"), for females 20 cm (7.9").
Eats mostly insects and other invertebrates.
Found in dry areas in Afghanistan, Iran, Nepal, Pakistan and India.
