And somehow it’s still the first slot.

It feels like OUT OF THE PAST is going to be the event around which this entire festival hinges.
I just don’t understand what the Sunday NYT Crossword wants of me. My soul? A pound of flesh? TELL ME, VEXING SQUARES.
I like the Charade answer. It’s still a joy—but I’d like to remember what the first time felt like. I can’t even remember when I first saw it, which means it was probably a VHS rental or basic cable.
“You gotta learn AI or get left behind!” is a bit galling given that the entire purpose of AI seems to be to steal our work and fuck our brains and shit up the planet, which is to say, its GOAL is to leave us all behind. That, in order to make its owners rich.
My favorite scene from the Bible
Even the Arctic Monkeys show (the aforementioned phone-heavy abomination) was still a good time. I don’t regret it - l just cite it as one of the worst examples of the phenomenon I’ve ever seen.
Views like that condense the audience, visually, so it seems like it’s more prevalent. I don’t know. It could also be worse at a seated show because you can’t pick your company. Fear of the phone should never stop you from seeing your favorite acts.
It depends on the artist/crowd. I’ve only had one show ruined by people always, constantly filming. And I’ve been to hundreds. Younger audiences tend to be a bigger problem for this. Nobody should be afraid to see Billy Joel. 😂
The trailer repelled me in ways unfelt since the RomComs of the early Oughts.
He’s even picking the worst Bond villain to be the model for his megalomania.
That was exactly my reaction seeing the trailer. Good to know I don’t need to watch more of that.
You’re an unprincipled young man.
wow, fuck Target
Well, LICENCE TO KILL is right there.
Gonna say — without having visited the haven represented above — that my Exit 8 reigns supreme.
I’ll keep you posted.
Personal anecdote: My wife and I watched this when she was pregnant with our second daughter and we sat through the entire credits (because we loved the film) and saw the name Elisa among the Italian crew and that’s the name that stuck, for whatever reason.
The American is a tremendous film.
OH NO THEY DIDN’T.
Okay. I’ve decided. This movie is really bad.
I’ll let it get in line.
THEY TOOK MY OVARIES.
I was kinda hoping YOU, ME & TUSCANY would at least be a little interesting. Kinda miss decent theatrical rom coms.
I’ll probably see Exit 8 tomorrow, looked pretty interesting. Was catching up on stuff I missed the last couple of weeks — but They Will Kill You has terrible times tomorrow. Saw Ready Or Not 2 tonight.
I like watching Keanu and Charlize try to yell their accents.
Hell, my favorite movie is a 5.9.
The IMDB is a pit. It is good for information.
