Motion to introduce the word “breded” because anything breaded is deeeeelicious 😋

I loved discussing the book as we read it! Took longer of course. And doing the posh English accents was fun, too lol
I’m naked and leaning back on my couch. In between my legs is a copy of Elizabeth von Arnim’s The Enchanted April.
This past week, instead of watching TV, hubby and I read this one out loud to each other in the evenings, and it was such a delight! We laughed and laughed, and occasionally cried. There was so much joy and kindness in this ❤️
I have! Unfortunately, that was my least favourite of the three, but still super creepy!
I’m standing naked in my kitchen holding a copy of Uketsu’s Strange Buildings (translated by Jim Rion) in one hand.
This was fun! It’s been a while since I’ve read a 300+ page book in one day (to be fair, there were a ton of illustrations).
Agreed!
I’m sitting naked on the edge of an unmade bed with my legs spread apart. My left hand is resting on my upper thigh while my right hand is holding a copy of Kotaro Isaka’s The Mantis (translated by Sam Malissa).
Påskekrim: literally “Easter crime”, a tradition where Norwegians immerse themselves in crime novels during Easter, usually in cozy and isolated locales.
Let’s! 😁
Yes, and yes!
Happy Easter! And will do! 😜
Hehe thanks! Happy long weekend! 🥳
I’m sitting naked on the couch with a copy of Tayari Jones’ Kin between my spread legs.
“What you *have* the same isn't what binds you. Hearts grow strings because of what you *know* that's the same, what happened to you that's the same. And when what you want is the same.”
Happy Friday and long weekend, naked friends! 🤗
Suuuurely they mean introductions and afterwords…?
Awesome! Happy I’m first in line for it at the library then! 😁
So happy to hear this! I felt the same way about Strange Pictures and was super excited to read Strange Houses. But I found that one disappointing so I was having doubts about this one. But no more!
Aww, thanks stud! 😘😘
7, actually! The 4th and 5th volumes will be published in English this year. I think it’s quite brilliant. Kinda like a Proustian Groundhog’s Day 😛
I am sitting naked on a chair at my dinning table. My legs are spread apart and I’m leaning against the backrest. My left arm is draped across the dinning room table while my right hand is holding up a copy of Solvej Balle’s On the Calculation of Volume III (translated by Sophia Hersi Smith & Jennifer Russell).
“If bad houses and bad dykes and bad decisions are to blame, if the poor are flooded while the rich are not, if it is always the same people who suffer the consequences, then it's no use dragging around a stupid sandbag. Then the flaws are systemic. Water is not just water.”
Jet lag had me awake from 3am, but I’ve been passing the time reading “What you are looking for is in the library”. Such a sweet and powerful book. I definitely recommend it!
😈😈
I am standing naked in my library, holding up a copy of Solvej Balle’s On the Calculation of Volume II (translated by Barbara Haveland).
“She took more pictures when the seasons lived up to our expectations of them: pictures of snow in winter and bright sunshine in summer…As if we had templates for the seasons and when everything fits we take a picture. As if it is an event in itself that the weather has got it right.”
I know it’s a typo, but I’m hoping that when the author refers to him as Weird, it was some kind of Freudian slip.
Anytime! 😉
😁😁 one should try!
Personally, I preferred Butter. I thought it was a little more cohesive. And the premise was much more interesting!
Me too! I wish I get to do it more often
Whooo! I hope you like it as much as I did!
Thanks handsome! 🥰😘
Looking forward to swimming naked with you again soon!
I am lying naked on my made bed. My iPad is nestled next to me, displaying the cover of Asako Yuzuki’s Hooked (translated by Polly Barton).
“It feels great, swimming naked. So free. It makes you understand how much we’re made to repress and endure as part of our daily lives.”
