The bluebird is a creature of happiness and hope, brought back from the brink of extinction and so we take lessons from the bluebird -- and from our efforts to save it -- on this day. But it's also worth noting that right now THIS bluebird is watching another pair of bluebirds try to lay claim to a nesting box, and the thoughts going through his head are probably "oh fuck you, that's mine," as they keep fighting over that space, like cranky renters.
