The ravens are woven with maidenhair fern and represent the main crest of the G̱a̱nhada, Sol’s clan. Clan lineage is passed down matrilineally. G̱a̱nhada (Raven clan), is one of the four clans of the Ts’msyen people.

The anchors are made out of golden sun bleached canary grass in honor of his time as a frog man, Navy SEAL, SEAL instructor, and his time training astronauts in underwater weightlessness.

I wove this bottle in honor of my uncle Sol, my maternal grandmothers brother. This bottle will be displayed on the future Navajo-class Towing, Salvage, and Rescue (T-ATS) ship that will be named after Solomon “Sol” “Dundee” Atkinson.
