He got a call saying MPD found his car and telling him to get it from Fifth District.

ICE was in Fifth District and detained him.

He spent the holidays in a detention center away from family because of MPD-ICE cooperation.

This is blatantly false from the MPD Chief.

Here is a joint ICE-MPD arrest from just 10 days ago in DC. There are no other federal agencies there — just MPD helping ICE detain an immigrant delivery driver trying to scrape by.

The *whole point* of this is to do civil immigration enforcement.

An MPD officer and a federal DHS agent handcuff an immigrant delivery driver in front of a Chick-fil-A.

Another joint MPD-ICE arrest today in DC.

This is a food delivery driver working in subfreezing temperatures to deliver food to people. He deserves to be with his family tonight.

Instead, he will sit in an overcrowded detention center facing likely deportation.

A shameful use of DC tax dollars.
