What is it about this year's spotify wrapped that makes it seem a little more important than the previous ones

My memory of the scene begins to fade at this point. But the lesson I took from it only arrived at my mind's doorstep recently.

It's an analogy, so stick with me.

I left it out there for maybe 30 mins. (but likely much less; time's slow when you're young).

The expectation was a filled cup. The reality was it barely had anything to pour out. Small blobs of water lined its inside.

In my shock, I showed my parents. How could this be? The rain was so loud!
