We have a local dairy farm deliver our milk and eggs lol but omg when I was trying to find one to sign up with a year ago it was HARD to find the actual reputable ones in amongst all the raw milk cranks. This science is well over a century old!!

I have rehearsals at 7pm on Tuesdays and I have reached the age where getting home at 9:30 on a work night feels stupidly late
The first time it was a "last plane out before the blizzard closes the airport for 48 hrs" situation but the most recent time I could not figure out a reason and it was not great!
I've had that happen once, and I've also had several flights board and leave *early* which is differently inconvenient haha
At this point in life I'm straight-up paranoid about flight times
My *spouse* just got an election spam text about *me* not having voted yet in the special election and I am extremely not okay with that. WTF. Who on earth thought that kind of messaging was okay?
And we have aged seven hundred years since then
Yup. A literal leap of faith haha
S'okay, I don't mind dropping minor spoilers for a 22-year-old game lol. It's the Path of the Shell, and you are trying to figure out if you should go up or down
You know why I never took up with a sourdough starter? Because I'm not allowed to bake bread, when I do the serving size becomes "one loaf" and I do in fact sometimes need to consume food other than carbs to live
The moment in the great shaft when I realized I had to put together a decade of myst thinking and the answer is never *just* "a OR b," that you should always look for c, is one of my favorite video game moments of all time.
fun fact, I was a renter in an apartment in North Arlington when I had my first kid, and someone suggested I join, and then they turned me down because I didn't live in a SFH
I demanded my check back.
Screenshot of a GMail inbox showing two unread emails back-to-back: The top from Aftermath, with subject line, "The Writing on the Wall," followed by one from Mothership, with subject line "It's in the air, and it's all around"
I know my subscriptions did not coordinate today lolol but the way it worked out in my inbox sure looks like they did ๐
Honestly, this is why I think it's apt as a metaphor. We need them because of entities not staying in their lane safely, and when they get hit they *do* suffer damage and *don't* get rebuilt and that's how things get worse and worse.
I'm sorry, that's extremely rough. Best wishes to you and her.
Absolutely losing it at how many people seem to be reinventing protestantism from first principles, while the Church of England sides with the Pope. Sitting here with a history degree just like... nope, I refuse, I quit
now that *would* be Content โข๏ธ
I genuinely love that we have reached a point with Decoder where we just got our first PR pitch promising not to media train the guest at all and basically to just let them go feral if we booked ๐
okay fine, april heat wave, I am putting away all the winter coats and boots AGAIN but so help me, if I need to take them out for a third time next week...
Yeah, 'cause when you're scraping a plate into it it's just easier haha
(I bought it for cheap to replace the slightly larger, hinged-lid county freebie that was fine for 4.5 years until the lid broke haha)
It's not super stinky but it is small so we take it out to the outside bin every couple of days anyway. Truth be told I don't love this one; it's cute but I need to go back to a hinged-lid model, this is too hard to wrangle with one hand and the lid falls in a lot.
A small white kitchen countertop compost bin with a very prominent red-to-green rainbow slashing across the bottom left
Got a couple suncatchers for free and put them in a west-facing window, but the rules of video game logic have taught me to look at where the light lands and makes things glow so now I know: the compost bin is the most important thing in my house and must be interacted with
congratulations! having mine out in 2017 is probably the single best thing I ever did for my health lol
I know that when I've sat with this for myself, it was because I really did not have a great array of other options to choose from; that "insulting" was at least "present" and that it has taken a long, long time for "flawed" and "nuanced" to show up.
(And now I am a middle-aged mom and: lol, lmao)
Having had landscapers, a street sweeper, and now a neighbor having a tree taken down all in quick succession this morning, I think the universe is sending me a strong signal about trying to do focus / listening work today
This one is even telehealth but I've been sitting in the virtual waiting room for 15 minutes
One of my biggest annoyances in the modern era: doctors offices that chronically manage to run late for the *first appointment* of the day
My elder child has made it almost to age 13 never once having worn hard pants and she does not ever intend to. Meanwhile my mother, channeling HER mother, made me do lower elementary school in dresses and saddle shoes lol, kids these days
the available time is never long enough and also the available time is always too long
