Ahh I was afraid that might happen.. when I went offline it was still all abuzz with people migrating from twitter. Hopefully there’s still some good blogs and recommendations to be found!

Just returning to Bluesky after a year’s maternity. Who should I be following? Any recommendations? #edusky #teamenglish
Really enjoyed today’s daily read on @teachertapp.bsky.social ! Interesting how AI was able to summarise the potential pitfalls and uses of KS2 data in the “target grades” discussion. It surprised me how reasonable its solutions were.

1. Childcare/ a lot of work being completed outside of school hours and therefore usually late at night.
2. Maternity pay is well behind other sectors.
3. Menopause and women’s health
4. Imposter syndrome at SLT level etc.
5. Perceptions (lots of gendered ideas still floating about)
There must be ways to make the process easier - especially given there’s such a time crunch with some students. Part of the problem in English is that there’s a massive lack of trust in the marking in general which means it’s not always limited to the students who are just a mark or 2 off.
Absolutely beautiful!
Seeing a script online definitely makes the process easier. Edexcel give you automatic access so I just needed student consent which was easy to get on results day. With AQA we have to request scripts through our exams officer who is obviously not working every day which means I’m flying blinder.
This looks amazing! Blaming Bluesky when I drag the family to Waterstones tomorrow…
📌 this looks great - definitely going to try this.
*NEW* AQA Lang & Lit mock exam trackers using June 24 boundaries. RAG rated cell formatting and formula columns locked to prevent accidental data corruption, like so 👇 Help yourselves and RT for a wider audience. #teamenglish

📌 this looks like a great resource for our Romantics unit!
I love this poem! We always teach it at taster sessions or beginning of year 12 watching Smith’s performance of it. So powerful! Great idea to compare it with Grayson Perry Urn. Will look at doing that this year. This thread is super helpful - thank you! 📌

This sounds brilliant.
I came back just to see if this had been answered. Glad she’s back!
Amazing share! Thank you! And really looking forward to the Jekyll and Hyde critical theory book. 📌
📌 pinning this to follow along with the recommendations!
This is a great read. Super interested to see if any schools find ways to make it work.
This looks great! I love the timeline that emphasises how quickly it all happens - students often seem to forget this as the reading goes on!📌
