As I reached the top of a hill the landscape opened up into an expanse of dry grass and sagebrush. I started pedalling again. Two horses were standing up on a bank, and they wheeled away as I went by. I could hear the stamp of their hooves on the dry ground. 6 miles from my house in the city.

Thanks for the information. Not that my beech tree is especially important compared to the wide scale destruction of trees (which is awful news), but I'm attached to it. Also it's a mature tricolour and it's pretty. I will appreciate it while it's still here.
How long does my beech tree on the west coast of Canada have?
This is a fun issue because people who agree with each other on everything else will disagree to the death on this one.
We understand that that we are in the same geographic region, and that there are some cultural similarities, but we just don't say that we live in the PNW. It's also annoying because to us, it's the south. It feels like our perspective is being ignored because the Americans are louder.
I'm sure she's probably trying to make some kind of point, but I'm too Canadian to see past daycare at 6 weeks being talked about like it's a normal thing.
I realize we're probably talking about the right to own ebooks, but I hadn't heard of your books before and I see they're on kobo plus. Does kobo plus pay you a reasonable amount?
Does this mean there's hope for the situation in Kamloops?
Canada is happy to export our catchphrases to anywhere overseas. We also have oil, lumber, and tourists available.
Inspired by @mark-carney.bsky.social and Canadians everywhere. We’re all fighting back on our home ice!
Yes. Especially B. I listen to podcasts more often than I watch youtube.
I'm a woman with a daughter and I don't read "families" and think hey, that's me, I'm being included. It's not just childless women who are being excluded. We have problems and concerns that have nothing to do with families. I'm sure you know this - I just need to yell about it.
I'm figuring out how to post. Here, have an early evening picture of #Kamloops from the Overlanders Bridge
