They really put the liner from the bottom of one of my old winter boots on that sailor's tray and said "bon appetit"

Ye, she's the tie-in to Mirage iirc
An ordinary poster for On The Beach :^)
No, it wasn't an accident, I didn't say that. It was carefully planned, down to the tiniest mechanical and emotional detail. But it was a mistake.
The previous biggest one I was aware of was Brandon Sanderson getting funding for some novels.
Ah, you did pick it up! I need to finish it at some point. Left the very last couple of story missions undone for years at this point.
Only two things are certain in life: Daily bunnies and taxes.

Is that not just a common way of referring to a legislature by where it meets? I'm a state away so forgive me if it's a more common thing there, but isn't it the same as, for example, collectivizing the federal government as "Washington?"
The river one is accessible from one of the facilities you can build in your village, has some unique equipment loot.
The dream one is more of a proper roguelite, with randomized abilities and equipment that you can pick up as you progress, and bosses at the end of each stage.
There's a roguelite mode about going up and down randomly generated river networks raiding monasteries and towns, where the next ones get harder for each one you hit.
There's also one set after the valhalla dream story stuff in there, where you're journeying through the realms to free Baldr's soul
Yeah, I need to pick it back up and finish it myself. Have it through Ubisoft directly and not Steam.
I like it well enough, and the (two???) roguelite modes are both kind of neat, as is the Valhalla dream state stuff
Btw asscreed Valhalla, the direct followup, is in the April Humble Choice if you were interested in checking that out next (and it's the same for Australia which I'm not certain about).
It does feature a small dlc crossover with Odyssey set on the Isle of Skye as well.

Excerpt from the mixed media story "17776" by Jon Bois. Image is of two white boxes with green and red text, respectively, overlaid on a red calendar background. Green text reads: "Nine. I am so sorry. I can only transmit short messages. I need to preserve power and so do you. Listen very carefully. It takes 217 days for my message to reach you, and it takes another 217 for your response to reach me. Call me Ten in your message so that I know you're responding to me. More will follow. I love you so much." Red text reads: "You said to call you Ten. Who are you? Why does it take so long? I don't understand what is going on. I don't know who I am or where I am. I'm all by myself. Who are you? I love you too."
Chiming in to second this. It's transcendental, someone else posting this excerpt has had me thinking I should reread it.

Jon what's the first thing you're going to do once you stop aging and become immortal tomorrow?
My girlfriend was just telling me she'd like to listen to that with me some time

I was cleaning in a hospital through that time. Not as bad as a lot of places, but one moment that sticks with me is walking into a COVID ICU room to disinfect and turn it over and seeing a table full of balloons and cards from family and friends, and then a leftover strip of toe tags on another.

Taco Bell has dirty sodas now. Will the shadowy hand of Deseret ever cease extending its creeping grasp?
Very briefly had my brain insisting that "far cast" was nonsense and you must have typo'd "car fast" which of course made much more sense.
I don't think Villeneuve goes further than this next film, but I am morbidly curious how he'd do Leto II
