What remains to be seen, is if the ending of it all will be able to land as strong and visceral as it did in the game.

I’m curious if those 35h of « suffering » were necessary for it to strike as hard, and if control plays a huge part in it or not.

Either way, I’ll be there!

Ultimately, I think it makes the themes shine brighter.

It’s the opposite of Part I, that felt better in the game for me.

Mostly due to the sheer number of interactions between Joel and Ellie its 12h provided, that obviously had to be shortened for the show.

I enjoy Last of Us Part II much more on TV than in the video game:
• It’s more condensed (bye the 35h of killing innocents to reach the story conclusion)
• I get to WATCH characters do dark shit I don’t condone, not DO it through them
• There’s additions that deepen the impact of each scenes

Force à toi et merci pour ton travail. J’ai du mal à me rendre compte de ce que ça fait vraiment d’être touché personnellement par ce genre de vague. Qu’on critique les jeux sur lesquels j’ai bossé oui, mais c’est autrement plus lointain.

Bref 2 c’était un plaisir complet.
Le seul défaut, c’est que la suite sera pas avant 10 ans.

📣 Appel à témoignages : je cherche à comprendre comment ce projet transmedia annoncé en grande pompe aux Game Awards par Bandai-Namco a pu déboucher sur un tel fiasco.
