Hosting the uptown art fair inside that sprawling weird mall thing would be a great idea because then even if the weather is stormy as it often is in early August, everyone will be sheltered but moving it out of uptown, surely will fix everything

There’s also usually a youth baseball game and people utilizing the tennis courts at that park on Sundays so it’s busy! There’s no where else for people to park besides on the street

Either enforce it for everyone, no one, or offer up a different solution

I know cars are bad and people should not drive if possible but stonewall draws people from across the cities and often all the 6 fields are in use all day so it’s tough without driving to make that happen and is wildly popular/important to the community

A (not so) weird coincidence: the city never ticketed people who parked on Fillmore when I played in the city sponsored kickball league that I left because queer people were treated like zoo animals at best, but with Stonewall they’re writing tickets despite there being nowhere near enough parking

I recently was at a career roundtable for undergrads and some of the manufacturing reps were like honestly it’s hard to find qualified people, you need computer skills, math, reading etc can’t just walk down to the local factory/blue collar place of employment and get a job any more you need skills

The thing is….northern MN relies on tourism not mining jobs, especially considering how few mining jobs there actually are and every year that goes by you need more skills to do them that the local workforce might not have

People really like the addition of the sesame and then you can’t really taste the chili in the hot honey, but you can sense it
