This allows me to tell a different kind of story through Blueprints rather than Sagas. Blueprints tell the story of the creation of a powerful artifact using different types of mana at different times. A story that shifts in how it affects the game throughout, before unveiling the final product.

Tactical Frogsuit Artifact - Equipment Equipped creature gets +2/+2, has reach, and can't be blocked by more than one creature. Equip {3}
So how are they different from Sagas? Artifacts prefer activated abilities over Enchantments, which prefer triggered abilities and replacement effects.
Blueprints use and change abilities not on a fixed trigger, but as an activated ability instead.
Tactical Frogsuit Blueprint {1} (As this Blueprint enters and when you upgrade it, add a science counter.) (I) {u}, {t}: Return target creature to its owner's hand, then upgrade this artifact. (II) {g}, {t}: Target creature you control gains reach and +1/+1 until end of turn. Untap it, then upgrade this artifact. (III) {t}: Transform this artifact.

Good day everyone! hope last week was good to you :)
Today I thought I'd get into one of the new mechanics within this set: Blueprint
Blueprint is a new Artifact subtype that acts similarly to Saga, with abilities that replace eachother sequentially. #custommtg #mtg:cal

I'm building this set mostly as a challenge for myself, to add some more game design experience to my skills. I chose terraria for the base as is it's my favorite video game outside of card games. It also saves the effort of worldbuilding, which is something I may tackle in a later project.
I'm building a custom set intended for cube play, with over 280 custom cards (including functional reprints). The set will include named and unnamed lore characters (but fewer legendary cards than recent UB sets), in addition to the various creatures and phenomena in-game.

Good day everyone!
This is the first blog post in a series of likely very many on a custom Magic: the Gathering set I'm designing, based on the story and worldbuilding of terraria's Calamity mod.
This one should be a bit of an introduction into what exactly I'm doing and why
This makes me think of a character achieving liftoff with the "helicopter" lmao
I've heard, a while ago, that people with a prosthetic hand have to relearn how hard they can hold things without them breaking
I imagine not wanting to break things is a good reason to not squeeze too often.
Like 59 cm?
ah dangit I made a typo
practice, not prectice
I love seeing my friends make art, but it's tough when I want to make something for them in return and reach the crushing realisation that I've started later in life, and they're older, so I am years behind on prectice and quality.
Please don't react comforting me, yelling is for the void
