Watched American Graffiti last night at the Lawn Chair Film Festival in Saginaw, mi. It’s an ok movie. Slice of life-coming of age-early boomer nostalgia movie. Sadly no graffiti in it, not a single rattle can. Funny seeing early Harrison Ford and Richard Dreyfuss though.

Groovy little thrift shop find. Let It Out is a Dylan-esque tune but repetitive like the end of The VU’s Rock & Roll. The flip side Go Girl, Go is Beach Boys-y but garagier sounding. It’s about a guy whose girlfriend becomes a go-go dancer. At a quarter per song i have no regerts. 🤣 #vinyl #45s

Watch the fantasy classic #Labyrinth last night. I remember it being trippy but it was trippier than I remembered. Movie cribbed from other classics like Wizard of Oz. Gets creepy when Bowie, a boomer, asks a 14yo girl to love him in 1986. 16yo son thought it was worth watching and “kinda silly.”

Watched Alien with my kid the other day. I would have sworn up and down that I’d seen this 1979 sci-fi thriller before but watching it was only slightly familiar & I realized I was confusing it with Aliens which was a much more action packed sequel. Alien is slower more suspense based. #scifimovies

#nowdpinning Work is being frustrating so time to put on something totally nostalgic for me. This was one of my dad’s fave #vinylrecords & now it’s one of mine. Hard to describe how good of a blues driven rock album it is. Crazy pans, crazy effects, masterful playing 10/10 & puts me ima good mood.

Also watched #Maxxxine last night. Interesting slasher. Some parts didn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. Like they were filler or padding. And still the reveal came a little early and the ending lingered a lil longer than nec. Still you don’t see male body horror much and there was some of that.

Watched #TheLighthouse today. Interesting tech behind the film/filming esp for analog photography buffs. Intense, weird film, great acting. Brush up on the myth of Prometheus before watching and you’ll get more out of it. Recommended for #weirdmovienight for sure.

Got to use my #ollama instance at work. I had to do a raffle for an incentive and the free sites were either cumbersome or cost 💰so I asked qwen2.5-coder and it gave me step by step excel directions to make a raffle! Putting #AI to work.
