Photograph of a chambered tomb surrounded by grass and trees, taken on a damp grey day.. The stones are dark grey but once thrown with turf and moss. Stones have been robbed from the site leaving mostly just upright slabs. The capstone of one chamber remains.
Back from two days of work at Haylie Chambered Cain in Largs, North Ayrshire.
Cleaning vegetation to make way for a few fence and path, and some recording ahead of further work next year.
