Best Commodore 64 Games - Handheld Friendly in 2026 generated via ChatGPT.
Playing around in ChatGPT to identify and remember what Commodore 64 games might be most playable on modern retro-friendly handhelds. (Mulling a retro handheld game compilation for my daughters.)

Ha, Will. . . At a passing glance I thought you were measuring your heartrate. Who needs the Internet--I can apparently keep myself entertained!

The Early History of Autism in America
A surprising new historical analysis suggests that a pioneering doctor was examining people with autism before the Civil War
Spot on. (Speaking of Pluto, Disney's Pluto debuted in 1932. You know, just in case someone didn't realize there was also the dwarf planet in 1930 you noted above.)

Workaround to configure the Xbox Game Pass version of Balatro to open/play in windowed mode until Microsoft and the developer (hopefully) add native support in the game's settings.
Encountered an issue with #Balatro on the Xbox Game Pass version--there's no setting (yet) to play windowed. I can't seem to find the Reddit post that got me going: Go the Balatro > Content > Assets folder and backup conf.lua before editing it like in the screenshot. Tweak the width/height.

Late to the Balatro party and winning my first game took me way longer than I expected! My gaming PC is really maxxing out the frames on this one!

With volume of leaks it feels like the Switch Deux already launched.

Quote from Stephen King's, "The Dark Tower" that reads as follows: The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.
Some great ones in this thread! I've been partial to this one for a very long while, introduced to me by my buddy Chris Trumble . . .

Entering the Windows on ARM market sounds pretty logical.

My wife would smack down this purchase decision, but it’s rather desirable to encourage my (coff) burgeoning transition into the big leagues as an F1 racer.

About 20 years ago I pushed for a cover story on Jensen in #CPUmag. Don't recall "crypto" being in my vocabulary, but I knew Nvidia had a special something from the moment I played Virtua Fighter on the Diamond Monster 3D. Thus, got sort of a joyful kick out of the CES keynote last night.

Dude, sweet. My first was the Oric Atmos, but we had the ZX-81s at school. I gave my Speccy away to a good friend about 20 years ago and have not been able to find another reasonably priced one in mint visual condition.

Happy New Year, Aaron! THIS is the game that's gotten my 14-year old daughter into FPS. She's been playing this on my account over the break and loving it. Mum's a cranky at me for letting her stay up so late, but you gotta feed gamer passions as they burgeon! So taking the heat. I need to play it!

Gordon and I met several times at IDF and other tech conferences during our CPU (for me) and Max PC (for him) magazine days. We had great, enjoyable conversations. Being at "competing" publications was always a laugh. Remember a lovely person with a FANTASTIC grip on PC hardware. You left too soon.

Holy buckets @dosnostalgic.bsky.social, I remember getting this in to do a review! Took it seriously: Bought a lot of wine at the time. All for our readers and not reimbursed. The things we do for our audience!

The Mansion of The Macabre - Spacefarer R&D Ltd
A love letter with an intricate story inspired by HP Lovecraft, the master of Horror.
In addition to the version on GOG there's this more traditional remaster of Alone in the Dark which I should take a look at when I've got some time: Manson of the Macabre. Hope it's the version I imagine through the rosy tint of time!

Woke up in the New Year very randomly hankering for 1992's Alone in the Dark. Not sure why. I own it on GOG and played the original French pre-release (beta?) demo back in the day via some BBS. But can't for the life of me find that version anywhere. It has the pre-final content in it. Fascinating!
