The Trump admin gave this massive fossil fuel exporter an “alternative fuels” tax incentive for operating heavily polluting ships. Thank you, @wyden.senate.gov, for leading the charge to question Cheniere Energy's $370M tax giveaway.

Yesterday, the Stop Financing Factory Farming coalition held a global day of action, mobilizing 40+ actions across 26 countries - a powerful show of people around the world standing up for a just, sustainable food system.

The World Bank Group has a mandate to support sustainable development and global food security. Yet it continues to finance industrial livestock production, undermining its own goals.
Today we visited the US Treasury to see if normal taxpayers qualify for any of the fossil fuel industry's $37 billion in tax breaks this year!

Fighting for the climate means fighting to end wars. That means not just opposing Trump's impulsive and illegal attacks on other countries, but also working to defund and dismantle the massive military industrial complex that enables those attacks.
President Trump threatened ‘a whole civilization will die tonight’ if Iran does not meet his deadline — an obvious threat to commit an illegal attack on civilians.
Greenpeace USA activists took a banner to the White House calling for the immediate removal of President Donald Trump for war crimes.
NOW 🚨 Outside the White House in Washington D.C., protestors have gathered to oppose US attacks on Iran.
A fossil fuel CEO attended a Mar-a-Lago dinner where Trump urged Big Oil execs to donate a collective $1 billion to his campaign
In return, Trump promised that he'd cut taxes & regulations for Big Oil.
Trump just made good on his end of the deal...

My latest: Cheniere Energy, the largest LNG exporter in the U.S., received a $370 million tax credit from the IRS earlier this year. Seven U.S. senators would like to know why. insideclimatenews.org/news/0704202...
Friends of the Earth is challenging this permit, claiming EPA failed to adequately consider the "reckless and irreversible ecological damage" that could result from the first-of-its-kind marine carbon dioxide removal pilot project planned by Carboniferous. subscriber.politicopro.com/article/eene...
"Regenerative agriculture" is the new green buzzword — and corporations are running with it. No universal definition, no metrics, no accountability
The irony? There's already a rigorous, verified standard covering most of these principles: organic.

At the same time, USDA must continue investing in truly clean energy, such as solar and wind –not scale those projects back.
We welcome USDA’s announcement that it will extend its pause on approving loans for new manure digester projects. These projects are costly, worsen factory farm pollution and further invest in this broken system. This pause should be permanent. foe.org/news/extende...
Thank you @warren.senate.gov @schumer.senate.gov @markey.senate.gov @whitehouse.senate.gov @welch.senate.gov @vanhollen.senate.gov for signing onto this letter looking into this!
Trump's admin just handed a $370M windfall to one of the world’s largest exporters of natural gas by allowing the company to claim an “alternative fuels” tax incentive for operating heavily polluting ships.
Thank you @merkley.senate.gov for leading the charge to investigate this
We are profoundly saddened by the loss of Nancy Metayer Bowen
Nancy was a shining light in a darkening world – an environmental scientist who served on our Board of Directors, and the first Black and Haitan American woman elected to the Coral Springs Commission

This unprecedented use of the Endangered Species Committee is rife with illegalities. So, today we teamed up with other groups to take them to court.

There has been no evidence of need or urgency to backup the "national emergency" they're declaring
Meanwhile, the critically endangered Rice’s whale – of which only 51 remain on the planet – has been placed in the administration’s crosshairs, all to benefit oil & gas interests.
This week, Defense Secretary Hegseth invoked a provision that allows an Endangered Species Committee to wipe out endangered species protections for imperiled species. Hegseth directed the committee to grant a free pass for offshore drillers in the Gulf, citing “national security” reasons.
Friends of the Earth International and FOE US @foeus.bsky.social stand in solidarity with migrant communities against attacks by ICE and other State security forces in the US.

What’s more, this waste will be unrecoverable. If the experiment goes horribly wrong, there's no way to undo the damage or retrieve the waste after it smothers the ocean floor
It is astonishing that EPA is even considering allowing this to go forward.

This project was greenlit by the EPA on its “scientific merit” — yet the company conducting the experiment is entirely profit driven.
If successfully scaled up, this would mean dumping more biomass than the entire global corn industry produces in a year onto ocean floors.
EPA has approved a permit for Carboniferous – a for-profit company that wants to dump agricultural waste into the Gulf of Mexico’s orca basin and call it a climate solution.
It’s not. It’s a risky, speculative project that could harm the deep-sea ecosystem.
Friends of the Earth Action proudly endorses environmental justice champion Chris Espinosa for #CA26!
"Chris will hold fossil fuel companies and their enablers accountable in California and beyond, and we are proud to endorse him.”

Bright green FarmSTAND branded graphic. Headline: Filed. Text: Monsanto wants to be shielded from lawsuits over the health effects of its pesticides. They claim farmers are on their side. But farmer and farmworker groups are standing against their claims at the U.S. Supreme Court. Image: farmer on a tractor.

CDM proudly stands alongside farmworkers in their pursuit of justice against corporations that prioritize profit over people by marketing toxic herbicides and pesticides. Quote: Monopolistic agriculture corporations and lobbyists claim to speak for America's farmers while lining their own pockets at the expense of the farmers and food workers who help fund our local economies. Instead of protecting billion-dollar companies, our government should be working on keeping family-scale farmers in business. Monsanto wants us to believe that their pesticides—and the health and environmental harms that come with them—are necessary for modern farming. 15 farmer and farmworker advocacy groups joined our amicus brief to say that's not true. They want accountability.

U.S. Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum will convene a rare meeting tomorrow of the Endangered Species Committee, who could roll back existing environmental protections by exempting companies from the Endangered Species Act, paving the way for oil and gas projects throughout the Gulf of Mexico.

@breakfreefromplastic.org, @ciel.org, @foeus.bsky.social, and @peopleoverpetro.bsky.social released new research that Vanguard invests $182 billion in 34 major petrochemical expansion projects, which are expected to emit 98,000,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent annually! 🤢
Thank you @govandybeshear.bsky.social for vetoing SB 199 — a bill that tried to shield pesticide manufacturers from being held accountable for the harm their toxic products cause.
If the pesticide industry is too dangerous to operate without being legally shielded, it shouldn’t be operating at all.
The US government should never hold much needed lifesaving medical aid to force extractive deals favorable to the US in Zambia or anywhere else in the world.
They’ve done this with ZERO caution for all the imperiled species that live in the Gulf.
Let us be clear. These intimidating tactics don’t work, and we won’t stop fighting in court for people and the planet.
To the ESA extinction committee: we’ll see you there.
