As Trump threatens the people of Iran with more war crimes and continues to destroy America’s reputation, Congress isn’t powerless in this moment. Demand that your senators and representative do everything they can to stop the regime’s illegal war.
I'm not sure about you, but I think the collapse of US hegemony, a global price spike and recession, and a new ground war in the Middle East are far worse than drag queens reading books at the library.
Register to attend one of the trainings here:

They will be held in the Brooks and Bates room at the Stephens Central Library downtown.
Get PREPARED!
Lead by retired Police Enforcement Officer, Gary Sandford, we are providing TWO in-person trainings to guide folks through best practices of de-escalation.
We encourage anyone in the community to attend.
Monday, March 16, 6p-8p
Thursday, March 19, 6:15-8p

Let’s Stand Together
Bring your questions, your concerns, and your ideas. Let’s organize, strategize, and make sure our elected officials hear from the people they represent.
Your Voice Is Needed
Whether you’ve spoken at Council before or this is your first time getting involved, your perspective strengthens our collective impact. We’re building a community‑driven effort that continues well beyond this meeting — and we want you to be part of it.
-Learn what the proposed data center could mean for our neighborhoods
-Coordinate a unified community response
-Build a long‑term strategy to ensure residents — not corporations — shape San Angelo’s growth
-Connect with others who care about transparency, accountability, and responsible development

This is the interview Donald Trump didn’t want you to see.
His FCC refused to air my interview with Stephen Colbert.
Trump is worried we’re about to flip Texas.

Voting matters.
Never believe it doesn't again.
It does.
2) Physically volunteer to help as SAPAC prepares to transition many of our neighbors to alternative shelters so that they can reopen their doors for business tomorrow.
SAPAC will remain open as long as needed so volunteers for overnight would also be appreciated!

People keep asking what items are needed and how they can help:
1) Financial donations if you are able: secure.actblue.com/donate/indiv...
West Texas Indivisible volunteered all day yesterday, and is back there today supporting their efforts and our fellow San Angeloans, doing what we can to provide specific needs and care.
San Angelo Performing Arts Center opened their doors to our unhoused neighbors to help keep them and their pets out of the cold.
They have had a team of volunteers going since Friday, January 23rd, providing warmth, dry and clean clothes, showers, and food over 60 people and their pets.

We are the "heroes" we are waiting for.
Our indivisible chapter has its next meeting Tuesday, January 27th at 6:00 p.m, at the Stephens Central Library in San Angelo (Brooks and Bates room).
We will post another reminder, but we hope you join us as we shift our focus to community preservation.
We need to turn our "prepping" energy towards community, mutual aid, skill sharing, and knowing exactly who is going to have our back when the power goes out (which we may end up finding out sooner than later considering the winter storm headed our way this weekend).
Projecting a little bit of hope out there into what feels like a hopeless world.
"Prepping" is not about self-preservation. Self-preservation is isolationist and unsustainable.
