Cheat! Smith and the UCP govt are trying to cheat in order to hold on to power. They are not governing for the majority of Albertans and all they care about is wielding power for their and their donors financial benefit. And if Smith has to support separation to hold on to power, she will do it!

This is nothing knew for the UCP. They continue to lie and cheat on a regular basis. We have to get active and pummel them with emails, phone calls and letters to all UCP and Alberta NDP members.

Especially with Elections Alberta clearly stating they would be unable to implement for the next election. It means that the UCP is both redrawing the maps to their benefit AND pushing it through in a manner which doesn’t allow proper oversight.

Very important, not only does the electoral map need to be fair and equitable but the voter and broader public must see it as such as well. It has to be both.

Another voice raising concerns over Alberta's plan to redraw the electoral map, with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association saying the UCP's plan "casts a doubt over the equity and fairness of Alberta’s electoral process."
