You missed the point: What makes the show terrible is not the medical technical components, nor the setups/backgrounds for its stock characters; it's the actual dialogue & beyond on-the-nose writing that leaps beyond bad to extremely laughable.
Except... it's not...
The dialogue is unintentionally hilarious. --A combination of THE NEWSROOM-level cringe + exactly what CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL was parodying.
(The fact that this show has been universally praised is one of the biggest head-scratchers in a long time...)
