I recently spoke with the @apnews.com Collin Binkley for this story about harmful and untrue statements made by the president about people with dyslexia. I am grateful for journalists who shine a light on the truth and for the resiliency of our children with dyslexia!

We came, we saw, we SAID DYSLEXIA! Dyslexia Day at the capitol had a HUGE turnout; we filled the Capitol stairs and spilled over into the second floor! Thank you to all the legislators who stopped by to #SayDyslexia and talk about #LiteracyandJusticeforAll with us!
Hey #GaPol! Join us Tuesday Feb 10 for #DyslexiaDay at the Capitol! We have thoughts to share on the new literacy bills making their way through committees. We have lived experiences with the literacy and dyslexia screening, intervention and support programs in GA, so come talk with us on Tuesday!
Join us Tues evening at Central Library in downtown #Atlanta for a screening of the acclaimed doc “Hopeville: How to Win the Reading Wars.” The panel convo led by @missypurcell.bsky.social & featuring Director Harvey Hubbell V & incredible GA educators will be 🔥! ga.dyslexiaida.org/event/hopevill…
“You’re the #1 advocate for your child… don’t ever let your voice be silenced.” - Yvonne Stroud at our bilingual know your rights event this past Saturday. Our interpreter Von Marie was also an MVP! 🙌💙#ParentAdvocate #SayDyslexia #EducationalRights #LiteracyandJusticeforAll
A must read from the @the74.bsky.social “Adopting a new curriculum is only a first step. Real change is like training for a marathon: buying the right gear doesn’t build endurance. Success comes from commitment, coaching, time and deliberate practice.” www.the74million.org/article/trul...
I’m making so many updates to UntilAllCanRead.org including new resources and articles to help you educate and advocate in your local school district and with state policy makers! And I have a new logo! 😍 #ReadingisaHumanRight #LiteracyandJusticeforAll
Good trouble. Necessary trouble. Always.
Thank you @rashaunkemp.bsky.social for standing strong against this unjust withholding of federal funding for after-school and other educational programs!!
I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since #GaLitLink2025 brought educators from across Georgia together for 3 days of learning and growing! These educators inspired me with their love of literacy and their passion for #LiteracyAndJusticeforAll!
Know better, do better! Can’t wait to join educators and literacy advocates from across Georgia at #LitLink this week! I am so grateful for educators who take their precious summer time to continue their learning journey for the benefit of ALL of their students! #LiteracyandJusticeforAll
I’m in awe of this family’s courage to speak out against the painful and unjust discrimination they’ve gone through. Keep speaking truth to power and fighting for systemic change! 💙 Thank you to Andy Perotti for the in depth investigative work you do in sharing these stories!
🚨The State of the People POWER Tour is hitting cities nationwide to build community, share resources, and mobilize our people.
This movement? It’s ours—built by us, for us. The POWER Tour is delivering truth and tools where they’re needed most: in our communities, city by city.
If you’ve had a child hurt by 3 cueing, you know just how huge this news is and how emotional it is to see these bills pass in Georgia! We advocate bc we never want another child to go through what our kids have been through.
Gwinnett County mother Missy Purcell, whose son struggled under the 3 cueing method, called the legislative vote ‘emotional’. ‘We have a law now that’s going to stop practices that hurt our kids,’ she said.” www.atlantanewsfirst.com/2025/04/21/b...
Having a strong support system makes all the difference.” 👏💙💯
I’m so grateful to be a part of this community, supporting one another in our collective advocacy efforts! #LiteracyAndJusticeforAll #SayDyslexia #UntilEveryOneCanRead

Parents showed up today to share our lived experiences and impress upon the senate Ed Committee just how harmful 3 cueing is for students in their journey to becoming proficient readers!!! Thank you for hearing us!! Thank you @rashaunkemp.bsky.social for this vital piece of legislation! #GaPol
At the Capitol early enough to see the sunrise this morning! We will be voicing our support for #SB93 and advocating for #LiteracyandJusticeforAll today! #GaPol

Systemic uphill battle! And our children can not afford to wait. Pls read and share and follow @fulcrumliteracy.bsky.social !!
Yesterday we hand delivered #DyslexiaDay invitations to every representative’s office, even those that were not open… Hope the 4 reps who share this office received their invites!! 😆 #SayDyslexia #LiteracyandJusticeforAll
Dyslexia Day at the state Capitol is Feb 4!! #GaPol policy makers and legislators, please make a plan to join us! We’ll host lunch from 11-1 in CAP230 and with more than 100 parents and students from around the state participating, we’ll be hard to miss! Come say hello and hear our stories.
I hope every #GaPol policy maker will hear these words and remember these kids when they’re considering bills this session. Do what’s right for THEM and don’t listen to the curriculum associates lobbyists or superintendent lobbyists who want to cling to the failing status quo.
“When the sharpest words wanna cut me down
I'm gonna send a flood, gonna drown 'em out
I am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be, this is me
Look out 'cause here I come
And I'm marching on to the beat I drum
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apologies, this is me.”
Start your day with the Callaway Middle School chorus, please. They performed at the #GaBoe meeting yesterday and received 2 standing ovations and tears with their beautiful voices and spirits. #GaPol
The #DyslexiaDay2025 shirt is 🔥🔥🔥 @DDGA13!! Order yours and join us Feb. 4 at the Capitol! #GAPol #QualityOverConvenience #DisruptTheStatusQuo #ScreentoIntervene #ImplementationisEverything #HB538 #SB211 #SB464 #SB48
