His nicknames were "the Prince of Darkness" and "the Dark Lord".
He was repeatedly sacked from government for lying.
His connections to Epstein and Russia were widely reported for years.
Yet Starmer still trying to claim he was somehow kept in the dark about Mandelson being a wrongun. Come on
Apparently, we are going to get "angry Starmer" in the Commons.
But politically, constitutionally, logically and administratively all this flows from his - his! - appointment of Mandelson.
All else is the putting into effect of that decsion.
But: anger at others, blaming others, sacking others.
Implausible as it sounds, this would explain why they’ve done practically nothing in 21 months.
It’s not that these people still exist. That’s just biology. It’s that they are still being paid to shit in their own hands & start clapping.
Fwiw.
The Prime Minister should have resigned when House of Commons voted that he (and his cabinet) could not be trusted with "national security" decisions on the release of the Mandelson papers.
If House of Commons has no confidence in a PM to do that, they have no real confidence in PM at all.
“Wes Streeting” is only the answer if the question is “Which stroppy child would be even worse as Prime Minister than Keir Starmer?”
AI minister Kendall says she doesn't use AI at work Liz Kendall wearing a serious expression, dressed in a dark suit, stands in front of a white car Image caption, Liz Kendall was treated to a demonstration of a driverless car ByMatt Chorley Presenter, BBC Radio 5 Live and Newsnight Published 2 hours ago Liz Kendall, the cabinet minister in charge of Artificial Intelligence (AI), has revealed she does not use AI in her job.
The first step to saving the BBC is up to the BBC: demonstrating that it is worth saving.
This piece is the product of [People disike Kendall + Slag off Kendall = Clicks]. It is a very stupid story, even by Chorley's Mariana-Trench-ean standards - and sadly part of a recent clickbait pattern.
First though get rid of the Tasks. Also don’t film it.
I’m not sure if it’s worse if he’s lying or telling the truth. Either dangerously dishonest or dangerously incompetent.
The vetting report would certainly have been helpful to Starmer in judging Peter Mandelson's character, but the blood running down the halls, the holy books bursting into flames and the birds falling dead from the skies whenever he was present were also fairly reliable clues.
How dare a Civil Servant exploit the Prime Minister’s chronic lack of curiosity in this way! For shame!
Suspect blaming Olly Robbins and the Foreign Office will not end well for Starmer.
This government's anti-immigration agenda will starve Britain of skilled labour and global talent for decades to come inews.co.uk/opinion/reev...
With regards to how well Bluesky is working today:
We can tell. 🙃
BBC News website headline “Chris Mason: Ministers have to close asylum loopholes while protecting the genuinely vulnerable”
Thank god we’ve got Chris Mason to state the fucking obvious for us.
Ironically the BBC stumbled on a really important story: Desperate asylum seekers being forced to turn to fraudulent fee-charging “advisors” to navigate a system that is intentionally impossibly baroque and from which all sources of free advice have been removed.
But no: they chose Fake Gay Panic.
There is a direct line from Andrea Leadsom lecturing Pascal Lamy (former director-general of the WTO) on the scope & purpose of the WTO to JD Vance lecturing the Pope on theology. Brexit married weapons grade ignorance to epic entitlement in ways that hadn’t been seen for ages. And on it goes…
but no, better make everyone fear the queers and the asylum seekers, eh lads
imagine if the BBC had decided to conduct an investigation into - just throwing an idea out here completely at random - the suspiciously well-funded “grassroots” “gender critical” organisations who seem to have limitless influence within the media and lawmaking class
never say "Okay", say "OK" instead, gives you more time to deadlift
This was the top story on Radio 2 at 4pm. The most important thing happening in the world, apparently. And of course that worthless ghoul Shabana Mahmood has leapt all over this.
I hope everyone who had a hand in this article never knows peace again.
This reporting from BBC stokes division, racism and homophobia, and fails to engage with that reality faced by most LGBTQIA+ individuals. I will be making a formal complaint and hope many others will as well

Listening to Kemi Badenoch and feeling almost envious of a life lived entirely undisturbed by reality.
A graphic from Humanists UK listing humanist values. The heading reads “Humanists stand for:” followed by a list: “Universalism, not tribalism; Freedom, not conformity; Generosity, not selfishness; Diversity, not uniformity; Equality, not hierarchy; Empathy, not pity; Rational doubt, never certainty; Courage over fear.” At the bottom it says, “And truth, love, and kindness above all else,” with the Humanists UK logo beneath.
Orban owns the media. He controls the information environment. He rigged the electoral system to make defeat next-to impossible. The govt of the most powerful country on earth tried to bribe Hungarian voters in his favour. It didn't work.
But the risk was coming from inside the Streeting.

The Home Office' anti-immigration agenda is strangling growth across the economy. It prevents a closer relationship with Europe, deprives us of the workers we need and undermines universities.

They say that Artemis II is the furthest a human has ever travelled, but I’ve changed lines at Bank and think that’s slightly further.
i’m politically homeless, and by that i mean that i agree with every policy from one party except the one about me paying taxes, and i agree with zero policies from the other party except the one about me paying zero taxes.
