So, about those Eid prayers in London...

"What's the highest thing in Trafalgar Square?"

"Nelson's column, innit?"

"And the highest thing on the column?"

"Nelson."

"And on Nelson?"

"His hat."

"And the highest thing on his hat?"

"That bit that sticks up."

Your first time is always the best.

Mine was 1230am, after a night of drinking and dancing my first trip to San Diego.

“This Is Not The Computer For You” · Sam Henri Gold Sam Henri Gold is a product design engineer building playful, useful software.

This is the best product review I’ve read: samhenri.gold/blog/2026031...

It doesn’t matter if you’re interested in the MacBook Neo or not; this is the kind of essay that makes you think about the potential of technology and the joys of exploration.

“If you want to look at the economics, then look at all of it. For example, I've never seen a calculation of how much capacity, how much GDP, a poorly-paid immigrant working in a care home frees up for the family and relatives of all the people there, by taking on their caring responsibilities.”

A photo oof a Macintosh SE on a Macintosh Table, a wooden stylised kind of 80s looking table, with a glass vase of blue purple (irises?), external drive, mousepad and a pen & writing folder next to it, and an actual clock. to the lower left is a cabinet attached to the inside of the desk with books, probably real manuals, standing up in it. The whole scene is in front of a stonewashed denim looking photographic backdrop.

Photos. Music. Books. My whole media world is Apple. Trying to manage photos from an Android device would be annoying. (Not impossible, just annoying.)

Messages. Being able to message with family from anywhere without worrying about SMS or WhatsApp is worth it.
