It's Global Tetrahedron's world and we're all just living in it. Enjoy the last of the heterosexual frogs while you can.

I loved the Avengers movies first go around but this new push is giving "old guy hanging out at the college bar". Like the franchise is wearing madras shorts and docksiders with no socks.

I don't know how people date when no-ones buying physical media. Half the fun of going to someone's place the first time is silently judging their cd/dvd/game collection.

And I cannot edit that to say simulacrum instead of simulacra, here I raise my dork flag high.

There are so many kinds of novels, look at Flaubert, James Joyce, even freaking Colleen Hoover- vastly different approaches and philosophies about what makes a novel. Ultimately, a novel is humanity in word form- so no, AI cannot write one, only create a simulacra.

I'm just so happy that other people out there know how wonderful Austenland is.

Whatever gets people to watch Austenland, I'm for. It's infinitely rewatchable, I love it so much.

BlueSky ate my post that was a hilarious observation on topical events delivered with a perfectly calculated amount of respect and knowledge whilst also being just controversial enough to engage a healthy dialogue. But since the server borfed I guess we'll all just live without it.

Just found out I'm on an 'antiantiai' block list, which finally there's a club I'm happy to be a member of and I don't have go to meetings or anything.

Don’t tell me I have no choice but to adapt to using AI. You don’t know how stubborn I am. My dad is 80 and has never had an email address. That’s the blood in my veins.

I am 99% sure Emily Bronte never read Withering Heights aloud, because there is no way she would have named that place "Thrushcross Grange" if she had.

What about how in The Idiot, Dostoevsky has Aglaya buy Kolya's hedgehog and begs him to take it to the prince and when he asks wtf why she's like 'It doesn't mean anything it's just a cute hedgehog not like I love him or whatever'- bish don't send a man a hedgehog, I don't care if it has a basket.

Jacksepticeye absolutely adores Bloodborne and has a *lot* of money, so I choose to be hopeful.

UPS won't let you talk to a person. With full confidence their little robot tells you to it can do anything a person can, then when you ask when your package will get delivered it says "Your package will be delivered on the delivery date." This is what will radicalize me.

Everything is a lot lately, so I am truly here for this kind of reportage from my local news outlets.

I know that exact smell. It's all giving 'beaded curtain' vibes, and I love it.

I can't stop playing Retro Rewind, finally made a saucy 'back room' for adult tapes hubba hubba and when NPCs get them I judge them. Plus I can't afford a room so I made it a tunnel bordered by cardboard standees. Classy.

My daughter loved the Warriors graphic novels, it's like.. tribal cats or some such thing, but it's not super 'kiddie'.

Making things is hard, I get it. I've made a lot of things- games, novels, sketches- and so many of 'em are stinkers. So when someone says this machine will make your stuff be "good", and it's so easy, why not? But your real stuff will never get better, and the machine's looks like pee pee poo poo.

Just saw a Youtube video saying BlueSky is dead so, am I in a Sixth Sense situation here? If you're a ghost and I ask, you have to tell me. I don't make the rules.

Retro Rewind is really enjoyable and I shall spend the next six hours being angry at people buying inconveniently timed slushies and not rewinding instead of doomscrolling.

Discoverability is one of the biggest hurdles for anything now that media has been for the most part obliterated and social media is no longer social. Anything made by someone not already “In the system” has a gigantic hill to climb.
