Beautiful remembrance. Also a reminder of the bridge from the personal to the universal Christ.

Russia is pure evil. Georgia, Ukraine, always destroying places and people.

Europe needs to take the money instead of obsessing about it.

Take it out of Trumps hands

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

This is really good to see: Miki Sherrill just put out a statement sharply criticizing the Senate Dems' pending cave in the government shutdown, ripping it as "malpractice" and a betrayal of the people who are "counting on us to fight for them." Sherrill knows what drove her victory. Wake up, Dems.

Funny how Bill Clinton’s Telecommunications Act of 1996 institutionalized the process of media ownership consolidation. Thirty years later the job’s nearly done. ✅

Back at it again. Small batch from leftover pickings stashed in the freezer from July. That’s a wrap for the 2025 fig crop.

So true. Thank you. This liberal is right there with you but sadly it’s more than just jargon, there’s faulty reasoning among us too, which is also way over our brethren’s heads. And it’s the polarizing entrenchment that gives both sides a thrill.

New Research: Starlink Unlikely to Meet BEAD Speed Needs At Scale | Welcome to Community Networks Four leading broadband deployment scholars release new analysis today that may help state broadband offices evaluate “the capacities and saturation limits of the Starlink satellite infrastructure.” Th...

the Republican argument is that Elon Musk can deploy Starlink at a fraction of the cost of future-proof fiber, but Starlink is congested, expensive, can't scale, is harming astronomical research, is depleting the ozone layer, run by a white supremacist, and has largely nonexistent customer service

Chairman Carr issued the following statement after the FCC rubber stamps the CBS/Skydance merger:

“Americans no longer trust the legacy national news media to report fully, accurately, and fairly. It is time for a change. That is why I welcome Skydance’s commitment to make significant changes at the once storied CBS broadcast network. In particular, Skydance has made written commitments to ensure that the new company’s programming embodies a diversity of viewpoints from across the political and ideological spectrum. Skydance will also adopt measures that can root out the bias that has undermined trust in the national news media. These commitments, if implemented, would enable CBS to operate in the public interest and focus on fair, unbiased, and fact-based coverage. Doing so
would begin the process of earning back Americans’ trust. Today’s decision also marks another step
forward in the FCC’s efforts to eliminate invidious forms of DEI discrimination. And Skydance’s
commitment to enhancing local news and reporting—coverage valued by the public—will also inure
to the benefit of the American people.”

oligarchs are destroying what's left of U.S. journalism, replacing it with corporate-friendly infotainment and right wing propaganda, and blowing smoke up your ass about how they're restoring trust in journalism and protecting "diversity of viewpoints from across the ideological spectrum."

You could seriously pluck any of a million articles on this CBS deal and almost none of them will make it clear to the reader that Republicans bought CBS to expand their information war on an informed electorate

Modern American culture expects/demands immediate results. Good governance, good construction, good science, those things take time, thinking, planning.

Wrecking stuff is fast. You can show the results this week.

This gives the Break Shit/Burn It All Down Party an advantage.

It’s that simple.
