We will explore ways individuals navigate their "Mixed" identity & how schools can support this. We’ll discuss a range of issues eg appropriate / inappropriate language, representation in the curriculum & why the #mixed category makes conversations around the construction of race necessary
1 in 16 children in schools in UK identify as “mixed”.
It’s the fastest growing & youngest of all the ethnic categories.
This conversation is therefore vital for all educators so pls join us
