Amazon on auto play at 3am put on a badly dubbed box office bomb co produced by China and Russia that has a cameo fight with Jackie Chan and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It was apparently shelved for years due to Chinese censorship because magic has to be depicted as science.

The Simpsons has nothing on The Boys. Season 5 finished filming a year ago and they absolutely nailed Trump's Jesus thing. It's still hard for me to believe that this happened in real life days before it happened in the show. It's mind blowing.

You would think The Boys making Homelander's narcissism reach God complex levels would be a bit further than Trump would go in reality but nope. This scene is so close to the image he shared of himself as Jesus it's nuts.

Yes, numerous countries did it and they were immediately attacked and invaded.

The Boys this season has Homelander leaning deep into his desire to be labeled a God and have people worship him due to his extreme narcissism. Then Donald Trump goes and shares a picture of himself as Jesus Christ. No matter how far they go in fiction he seems to rise to meet them in reality.

I love the show The Boys but this speedster scene is extremely broken. To have things moving this slowly that Homelander's lasers take 40 seconds to travel 2 feet he'd have to be traveling 590 times the speed of light or 393 billion miles per hour. Why could Homelander even catch him?

I love how Ukraine deals with these drone pilots, a huge bomb is sending a message that this isn't a job you can sign a contract for and stay safe.

It's 2026 people, if you aren't ordering fast food on the app so it's ready and the drive thru moves more quickly you're just an ahole. It's not hard and you get the bonus of reward points for free stuff. Ten car drive thru pileups at lunch because people order for 6 people is obnoxious.

It's great, the first 3 seasons were near perfection, I hope they can bring in the landing.

Sigh... Bigger blocks isn't a sign of being more advanced, it simply means you had such primitive stone cutting and shaping tools that you would rather deal with moving 1 massive block instead of cutting and shaping 100 blocks. Cutting small blocks from a quarry with primitive tools takes longer.

Oh yes, first 2 episodes are out. It's great. Not as good as the first 2 seasons yet but it's shaping up. How well they nailed the current political situation in the US is amazing.

I had no idea what the real purpose behind this conflict in Iran was today. Every time they said anything about nukes/missiles I knew it was BS. It's about Israel occupying/depopulating 19% of Lebanon as a "security zone". The attack was to prevent Iranian retaliation.

The first 5 minutes of The Boys seasons 5 episode 1 hit home to the current state of affairs in the US that it absolutely blows my mind. This show has always had the political pulse of America to a T.

The final season of The Boys premiers tonight at 3am, they drop 2 episodes. It really drives me nuts they won't do the premier at 9pm Eastern US time instead of the 3am thing, it's so hard not to stay up and watch and work the next day sucks.

The best place for native American artifacts and fossils on social media are Facebook groups believe it or not. They often have 10s of thousands of active members who are very passionate and knowledgeable. One group called Rock, Fossil, and Mineral Identification is really great for this.

Never got Hitler trying to take over the world for the German people. They conquered everything so many times they essentially reconquered themselves and over. Visigoths, Ostrogoths, Franks, Vandals, Lombards, Angles, Saxons, Burgundians, Alemanni, Normans, Rus, Jutes, Suebi, and Gepids?

Alexander the Great's speech to his men after they mutined on their return to Persia post conquest. This is why he conquered much of the known world, his way with words.

Trump and the current admin have some delusional ideas about what bombs and missiles can accomplish. You can blow up a lot of their facilities and equipment but hardened facilities are NOT something you can easily destroy. Ukraine now produces 60% of their own weapons after 4 years of attacks.

Anyone who has ever studied military history would not be surprised, Iran has retained a large part of its launchers and missiles due to their facilities being fairly hardened and their use of decoys, they are still firing 30 per day. Next they will unfortunately learn production is decentralized.

One of my favorite arrowhead finds of all time. This was a flashy piece of kit for someone in the archaic period when there wasn't a lot of color, especially blue.

The Martellus map of the world from 1489, the map Columbus likely used when he decided to sail around the world to reach Asia because of its incorrect calculations of the size of Asia and global circumference. As silly as the wrong part is the Mediterranean/Europe/North Africa is insanely accurate.

I use it for learning, news, self education, and many other things now. Where before I would Google search stuff I wanted to learn this consolidates the info for me. I'm well aware how bad AI is for "hallucinating" answers that aren't true, I always use it in a manner I can verify the data I get.

I don't believe anything without research. If someone on a profile tells you something happens do you believe it right away or do you verify it? For me it's just another tool for learning and you should verify everything thru other means. Gemini is great for compiling information.

This facility produced artillery shell casings and tank armor, taking it out hurts. A hit with a missile is one thing, precision strikes on irreplaceable machines is another. They systematically destroyed air defense nearby and targeted systems that take years to obtain/repair like transformers.

The facility was there because the iron and coal is, shipping it is costly. They produced artillery shells and tank armor. What's amazing is Ukraine systematically destroyed the air defense network nearby then used precision drones with last mile AI targeting to not be jammed. BILLIONS in damage.

This facility made artillery shell casings and metal for tank production. The reason it's so close to the front is because that region has both coal and iron ore and it's cheap to produce there. The FP2 has allowed precision strikes to disable facilities and with AI end targeting it can't be jammed.

I was reading about what they hit and what damage can be expected, you are correct, this facility is likely Fked for a good year. They hit very specialized electric transformers which are not easy to obtain. Plus if the iron cooled in the furnace it has to be busted out and it takes months.

2 weeks ago 13 1 1 0

They are so arrogant that they built everything within striking range, didn't harden their facilities against attack, and built all their facilities as single entities that can be disabled and shut down all production. Ukraine since the war has decentralized production across the board.
