brilliant.
apparently he doesn't like any sweets. which is why I think he let us buy him pie for so long.
did I tell you all about how we thought banana and coconut cream pie were his favourites for like 15 years and would buy one every year, until he finally told us 2 years ago that he "doesn't really like pie"?
the one thing he collects is John Deere tractors (real sized and toy sized, and he works for them) so I bought him a John Deere history book. idk.
he would probably say that the fact we spent 3 full days on the farm helping out is his present, but it's actually just our "jobs" because we have a "family business".
my father is turning 70 and won't give us anything for planning a dinner or presents.
let us love you man.
I got up to feed the cat and immediately stepped in puke hiding on a patterned rug.
one free cat available. cute, won't like you for a long time, pukes a lot for fun.
if you feed the cat breakfast 2 hours early, she will beg for dinner 3 hours early
I'm being responsible and joining the cat back in bed even though it's boring
a raspberry field being planted
child minding duty is done early and I should absolutely go home and rest but I'm tempted to go to the guild spin in
I love that at 9yo there are still kids that have absolutely no idea where they are supposed to be at the whistle.
also this rink seems fucking huge for 9yos.
hockey. yay. ๐ด
sometimes being part of the village means you have to take your nephews to a ball hockey game an hour before you normally wake up. I'm already tired thinking about it.
we only made fancy bed because we are also planting a raspberry field tomorrow and have all the equipment hooked up. I might have 80 feet to work with this spring ๐ฌ
future pumpkin and dye flower field
yay!!! what a cutie
i was going to try and mordant all of this as well, but I think tomorrow I will need a break.
I might hate teaching the actual workshop and therefore never need this data in the future.
I have acquired big enough pots that I can scour 1400g of yarn in a day, without too much difficulty (3 pots). this is good data for future workshop prep.
happy birthday!!
wow I am very tired and sore, who would have guessed
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
I feel like I re-learn this lesson every week ๐
*fieldwork. child minding is work too, just not bending up and down in a dirt field.
Rest Enforcement Officer, signing in for duty
right ok I have to rest tonight because we are planting raspberries this weekend and I have to be the child minding adult while the rest of able bodied adults work.
I think the cat is coming for snuggles, so I will be forced to sit
I was at the farm from 11:45 until 8:00pm and it was a good movement and energy day so I got a lot of stuff done but now I'm home and my brain is like "what if you get even more stuff done"
I'm currently wondering if I have enough for the beds I want to do, but just remembered that someone from northern BC is mailing me some of her seeds and that this is supposed to be for fun, not production.
