On the limit of logic
In answer to the question, how can there be evil in the world if God is all powerful, all knowing, and all good? and other religious logical trap questions.
Answer to the Question: How do you square the fall of man and evolution?
Answer to pretty typical question about relationship between theology and science.
Song – Dust Codes
Explanation of origin of the song Lyrics (Verse 1) I speak fluent in the cracks where the light leaks in, Where the silence hums louder than the choir of sin. Truth ain’t loud—it’s a shadow in retreat, Steppin’ careful on the echoes where the false gods meet. I been wrestlin'…

Write about your most epic baking or cooking fail. In college I was a bit intense. I had fallen in love with the writing of Nietzsche- which in part glorifies the desire to overcome. So this resulted in many behaviors, such as not heating my apartment- which had the bonus of being a cost…
Well that feels like a fair critique
But isn’t the question of how to use them the question of how do you operationalize those beliefs- and potentially at this incredibly early stage- wrestle with those questions?
I’ve been playing recently with AI music generation - and that play has helped me expanding my thinking on music making
Daily Prompt
What would my life be without music? Weirdly on brand daily question! Like any great love it is hard to imagine my life without it. If it was suddenly jerked away- for example if I lost my hearing- I imagine I would be left with just the faint hint- although I also know I have such a…

Today is international dot day. The day is named after the book The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds. The book tells the story of a student who is afraid to start doing art because he can't draw - and the teacher gets him to just put a dot on a piece of paper. The teacher then…
Creating AI Music
A How To Guide - Seriously Okay, maybe I lied — it might not be that serious. But I have found my evolving play with these tools weirdly fascinating, and worth sharing. First, take a moment to acclimate to the madness. When I first discovered AI music tools, I was floored. Type…
The Role of the Personal
Exploring the role of personal connection in music. Is it important to connect to the artists?
One of the things that I find most fascinating about these LLM is actually how they are just large matrix algebra equations.
A good explanation of the math below.
While not for the faint of heart- a good explanation of the math.
I think when we are talking about non-relationship music (jingles, soundtracks). I do think these will go much more AI. But people want relationship. People love Green Day, and not 100s of bands that sound exactly like Green Day.
sound argument.
I think what this forgets is that much of music's power is not the literal sounds - but relationship and meaning. The birth of high quality sound recording did not kill live music. The birth of AI will not kill creativity and the need for human expression.
And why do you fear this? If you like it - don't you like it?
