The “Calvin’s dad explains two types” meme, inspired by a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon. Clockwise from top left: 1) Calvin’s dad walks into frame to find Calvin trying to operate a record player. The dad says: “There are only two industries left in America: gambling, and fraud.” 2) The dad shows where the record goes, and how to turn on the player, while Calvin watches. Dad says “Derivatives? Gambling. AI? Fraud. Video games? Gambling. Social media? Fraud.” Calvin says “yeah”. 3) With one hand open palm up, Calvin’s dad cheerfully explains to Calvin out of frame below him, “The stock market looks like gambling, but it’s actually fraud.” 4) In bed in a dark room, Calvin clutches at his pillow, eyes wide in existential terror. There is no text in the panel.
Comps Fairy delivery today! That Marvel Rivals Infinity collection is a wonderfully sized book.
If you sit down at a table with the fash, instead of tipping it over, you are now a fash too!
But no one wants them less than me!!!
Turns out no one wants 40 comps of a book I colored 5 years ago!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I did great selling books on Vinted for the first month - and since then zero!

Did you know I and my collaborators have THREE free/pay as you wish books on Panel Syndicate? The original serialized version of BAD KARMA (later remastered & collected into the Image Comics hardback) and 1970s spy noir MAYDAY and its sequel THE BRANDENBURG SCHOOL FOR BOYS panelsyndicate.com
Not gonna pollute my eyes watching it, but is it “because reading is gay?” Or some such bollix!
Im joining the Energon Universe for a few months. Exciting stuff!

My copy of THE MAN WHO F#&%ED UP TIME Written & lettered by John Layman Illustrated by Karl Mostert Coloured by Dee Cunniffe
I read THE MAN WHO F#&%ED UP TIME by @themightylayman.bsky.social & Karl Mostert and it's very fun to watch this dude try to un-fuck his life after fucking up time repeatedly.
The cover of my YA urban fantasy adventure REVERSAL, which came out in April 2025 from Dark Horse but they did zero marketing so that’s why you don’t know it exists, alas. Please read it, though, it’s really good and I spent many years of my life on it. Book was a collaboration with Skylar Patridge and Kelly Fitzpatrick, with lettering by Hassan O-E
The cover of my action/dark comedy graphic novel BAD KARMA, a collaboration with Ryan Howe and Dee Cunniffe
The cover of my graphic novel PARASOCIAL, my second collaboration with Erica Henderson
NOT the cover to my novel The Scottish Boy but a portrait of Harry, one of its main characters, by Nick Robles. The book is currently between publishers (thanks, Unbound!) but there’s an excellent audiobook available
Hi #PortfolioDay! My name’s Alex and I write graphic novels, TV/film, and prose novels. Mostly action/thrillers with strong emotional arcs. Try one, you’ll probably like it:
102-106. Incredible Hulk (2023) #15-19. "Ciudad de Ídolos". Phillip Kennedy Johnson, Nick Klein, Danny Earls, Matt Wilson, Dee Cunniffe; Greg Pak, Lan Medina, Romulo Fajardo Jr.; Torunn Grønbekk, Lynne Yoshii, Fernando Sifuentes; Benjamin Percy, Geoff Shaw, Bryan Valenza.
Book 9: Somna by Becky Cloonan and Tula Lotay w. Lee Loughridge, Dee Cunniffe, Lucas Gattoni. A fun and sexy...witch trials graphic novel (??) with both authors splitting the art. The duel art mostly works but there's enough of a difference in character style that it takes a second to piece together
Watch out for even more of my colors on upcoming Blood & Thunder covers!
Groupies by Helen Mullane and Tula Lotay is in store today, and we've got a curated comics and movies list to complement it.
I just saw the same thing in Navan - 100s of crows going metal!
Dig this beautiful @colemancomicart.bsky.social art from our upcoming mini-series PREDATOR: BLOODSHED! Our first issue hits stores on 2/25 and it's going to be a gore-soaked good time! ALSO! Shoutout to @deezoid.bsky.social for the dazzling colors! PRE-ORDER AT YOUR LOCAL COMIC SHOP NOW!

Seems like a good time to post this again.
In Dublin, on Fenian Street, there's a factory that makes child sex abuse material.
You can pay it money, as a subscription, and that's one of the services it offers. This doesn't happen by mistake or because you've tricked or hacked the system.
It’s a feature.
