I feel bad for scaring her off, but also... I want to believe that she's a blessing of some sort, and that the energy of my home was safe to her and I want to honor that.

I'd seen the pair in the neighborhood weeks ago & noticed the drake hanging around the house the last couple. You'd think I would have put it all together😅
My biggest concern is that we are at least a mile from water, with heavily trafficked streets/roads between here & there. Then Ducklings!😬

We have a Mallard hen, nesting in our flowers, between the house & the driveway... the drake is often seen guarding in the street in the morning...
We were doing yard work yesterday & I scared her off the nest & we realized there were eggs already😬...so minimal yard work in that area this spring

Anywho. Bottled my 2 gal of cold brew coffee & cleaned the kitchen, now it's into the studio to get some work done!

what a day its been. Lots done and found some time to sit down and prep a new run of wine bottle filigree leaf pendants.
Prepped for etching, then it's on to the grinder. hoping to have them close to done in the next few weeks.
No one is saying we shouldn't live that hustle & grind.
We're saying that people should live that life for the love of the game, not because they can't pay rent & need 3 jobs & a side gig.
Even if all my needs were magically met, I'd still do what I do with the same intensity, just with more joy.
