this is mostly an issue I have with Nintendo and open worlds in general. it feels like they don't understand what made BOTW and TOTK work so well. Open world games need to give you a reason to explore every nook and cranny. RDR2 is the best open world game ever made because there is always +

I think its warranted to be skeptical of pokemon games. The issue, at least to me, is how bad of a first impression this is. Bad starter designs and pretty graphics is all we got. There needs to be significant changes to the core designs of the open world if this is, well, open world.

I think a bit of skepticism is warranted with their track record, but yeah, I won't be writing this off until I see legitimate gameplay, then I'll make my decision on if I think it'll be worth it.

im so sorry but there isnt a single design out of the three that looks appealing. maybe their evolutions will be better but these first impression are rough. Every Pokemon game before this had at least one design for the first evo I really liked.
