What does a king owe his country? What does a country owe its king? Is either obligated, or do either have the ability, to recognize the humanity in the other? Richard II tells the story of the chaotic rule of King Richard and how it ultimately sets the stage for the War of the Roses.

The new As You Like It logo features emerald green text in a font that looks like brush strokes spelling out the title. The logo is stylistically impressionistic and includes a peach background speckled with red, green, and blue dots. Purple flowers connected by green vines are in the top right and bottom left corner. Shared Radiance Artistic Director Sherri Raeford attended Art on Tap hosted by the High Point Arts Council the other week and loved every minute of it! She connected with old friends, listened to jazz music, and enjoyed all the wonderful art on display.

The Fake Fight: Got a friend? An acquaintance? A stranger who's new to town? Got two of them? Fantastic! Sidle on up to them, separately, in the name of friendship, and tell them the other one wants to fight them. Offer to smooth things over and make things worse instead. No one will get hurt. They're both big cowards anyway. You won't somehow get involved and injured yourself. As seen in Twelfth Night.

The Matchmaker: You know your best friend who's fought by your side? Play with his emotions. Stage a conversation with your BFF in earshot as a means of convincing him his arch nemesis secretly loves him (gasp!). Then sit back, relax, and enjoy the show. He and his rival probably don't have real feelings for each other. Who cares? She won't get him to take her side if you wrong her cousin. As seen in Much Ado About Nothing.

The Money Maker: What's a better prank than a scam? When you're strapped for cash, roll up into a quiet neighborhood, pick out two supposedly rich married women, and send them two copies of the same love letter. They'll be so charmed they'll have to give you money! Makes perfect sense. They won't compare notes, work together, and start a prank war against you. As seen in The Merry Wives of Windsor.

Reel description: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare is open to Julius Caesar. Two hands reach out and turn the pages to the beginning of Romeo & Juliet. Black sweetheart lettering says "Time for the next play".

Brutus, played by Isabelle Anthony, schemes with the conspirators while sitting around a firepit. They all wear clothing suited for the outdoors and the space is washed in textured blue lighting. We can also see the faces of Metellus Cimber, played by Owen Kenneth, and Cinna, played by Gabe Purvis. Everyone else’s faces are either obstructed or face away.

The Cobbler, played by Flo Baker, speaks in the opening scene of Julius Caesar. The Cobbler wears a brown shirt and green flannel vest. This production was staged in the round, so there are seats behind them. Ghillie netting hangs on the wall behind the chairs.

Marullus, played by Owen Kenneth, and Flavius, played by Zayla Collins, scoff at a publis celebration. Flavius wears a trench coat while Marullus wears a gray and green blazer and khaki pants. Ensemble members stand behind watching them.

Casca, played by Regan Doughty, and Cicero, played by Fritz Chesnutt, discuss a serious matter. Casca wears a plain brown shirt, a trench coat, and camo pants, and wears her hair in a braid. Cicero wears black cargo pants, a white long sleeve button down, and a dark green sweater vest. Cicero also has a twisted wooden cane and glasses. Ghillie netting hangs from the ceiling and over the tech booth behind the actors. The stage is washed in blue lighting while the actors stand in yellow lighting.
