I strongly suggest showing this to people whose ask chatbots for facts.

BAFTA pulling a trailer for an autobiographical game about surviving sexual assault only hours before it was said to be a part of a showcase is an exceptionally bad look.
A promo render of a moment from the StarCraft 1 Battle on the Amerigo cinematic, featuring a marine with a small fire extinguisher behind his left shoulder.
A screenshot of the same marine from another angle from the same cinematic, showing the fire extinguisher clearly.
A photo of a marine action figure toy also featuring a fire extinguisher as an accessory
The aforementioned regular-sized fire extinguisher:
A screenshot from the StarCraft: Brood War intro cinematic, in which a flash illuminates the back of a Firebat, a variant of the marine wearing a red-painted armored space suit with hoses attached to it, flamethrowers on the wrists, a flame paint-job, and 2 large cylindrical tanks on the back. The tanks happen to look like overlarge fire extinguishers, complete with an inverted cone-shaped nozzle on the side.
The render of the cinematic firebat as it appears in the game's manual, showing the same 3D model from the front.
Small piece of StarCraft 1 trivia- the cinematic Firebat model's flamethrower fuel tanks are just a pair of scaled-up fire extinguisher 3d models. Note it still has the nozzle. The regular-sized extinguisher was also an accessory in other cinematics, and made it into a marine action figure as well.
I'm reminded of this every time this photo of a guy and his dog's skeletons from the Smithsonian goes viral-even on their own page's header they have the baculum photoshopped out, though this article also has the non-photoshopped version inside. www.smithsonianmag.com/smithsonian-...
A solid pick. It was fun to briefly see one in 'Dinosaur Planet' (2003), except for the odd name mispronunciation.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MMr...
I don't know that the Netflix Dinosaur one was consciously choosing to endorse a fascist worldview as much as they were thinking "let's make our action shots look as cool and cinematic and monstrous as something like Game of Thrones!" but the end result can still be part of a broader trend in values
In which a beaver leaves to find a new home "as an elder brother should," "misses the company of his brothers and sisters," but becomes a "bridegroom" to a "young widow with a baby needing protection" to melodramatic music. It's definitely not the way a present-day documentary would present things.
I don't think it is. Check out an old documentary like this random 1950 one and see how much they talk about families. It just has a level of moralizing that you wouldn't see today, because trends have changed. Example from 11:15-13:50 www.youtube.com/watch?v=wU-j...
Back in college we once read an article on how nature documentaries reflect specific societal values of their eras, eg 1950s ones cherry-picking animal narratives to show family values, post War-on-Terror ones describing animals' weapons, tactics, bite-force, things like that. Another data point. :(
Been working on this for the last week or so. A SNW style version of my USS Jacoby design. Started with some SNW Connie pieces I did last year but never finished, then went from there. Im really pleased with how this one turned out.

Screenshot from the trailer of "Coven of the Chicken Foot" by Wildflower Interactive. It shows a dark, mossy forest at night. The scene shows a few skeletons, an old sword & shield, some pine trees, and two mysterious-looking characters in the distance illuminated by bright green light.
Screenshot from the trailer of "Coven of the Chicken Foot" by Wildflower Interactive. It shows a bright, foggy, grassy forest in the daytime. Amidst the trees there is a wooden signpost with a crow sitting on top.
A screenshot of two "demodogs" from the game "Stranger Things VR." They are in a black void space. One of them is in a walking pose with its mouth closed, and the other is roaring with its mouth open.
Screenshot from the VR game "Fujii" by Funktronic Labs. It shows a garden from the game, a whimsical, glowy, lowpoly-stylized room full of plants and flowers.

Hi #Portfolioday using this old chestnut yet again.
For me: snake enemies with tongues coming out of the glottis. Doesn't affect the overall game, but a lot of artists see snakes having a hole in their mouth, and assume that's where the tongue goes. But that's wrong! That hole is for them to breathe through without getting blocked by food.
Worked on the arboretum that I added to the Akira design. If you like what I do, and want to support my endeavors, check out my blog post(s) on Patreon about how I approached this.

Current state of the texturing on the #Klingon #BirdofPrey. Still so much to do! Running into some serious problems with Substance Painter at the moment, where it now hangs when saving the project ๐so progress is halted until I can find a solution...

Images of the Gungan 'mech destroyer' from the real time strategy game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, a blue-gray quadruped with a robust neck and long tail, with some Gungan technology strapped to its back. Image from: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Lerraa
Even though they were cut from the movie, those blue-gray mounts and the aiwhas did make it into the Gungan forces in the game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds (2001)!
New image up. I've been focusing on other things lately, but I'm hoping to get back to CG soon. In the meantime, hope you enjoy it: www.artstation.com/artwork/AZ0kv5 #startrek #llap #excelsior
