I am finally watching Weapons, which I have wanted to see since its release, but damn all these characters are deeply unlikeable.

Even my friends who are real hustlers and usually sell well have been talking about how bad their recent markets have been. So definitely nothing to do with her art!

Markets kind of take a lot out of me too, they're fun but stressful. And it takes time away from my family. So I think just attend them as a consumer for a while.

I think I'll take a break from markets for the rest of the year. At every one I have done since mid-2025, foot traffic has been down and my profits have been steadily decreasing. I think people just don't have much recreational money right now & I don't see that changing anytime soon.

My husband LOVES Dragon Quest. My oldest played it but now he's now into all these indie games that are like, bullet hell with anime girls 😄

All the kids he knows seem to only play Fortnite, Roblox and Minecraft. He just has the video game tastes of an adult, I guess. I'll let him know about Scythe though!

I haven't heard of those, thanks! He plays SW Battlefront 2 which I think is PVP? So he's used to it. The problem is, the kids he knows play Roblox, Minecraft & Fortnite & he will play those, but doesn't really like them much. I suggested Portal & BioShock as similar to HL but again, old games 😅

Fifth-grader's favorite games series is Half-Life. I ask Husband to suggest a newer game that maybe other kids have actually played so they have something to talk about.

I'm glad they're finally realizing it, but am bewildered by how long it took them.
