The Species of Murr-Alta 🧐

Angels: Rulers of the Lands Above, forged by millennia of conquest.

Demons: Dwellers of the Lands Below, fueled by ancient grudges.

Nephils: caught between two worlds and rejected by both.

Niko Sinti means “Ring of the Lady.” 💍

A massive circular chasm separates the inner city from the suburbs. Legend says a disappointed goddess dropped her ring from the heavens, carving the abyss we see today.

Is it just a myth, or is something still down there?

We hit 10 followers! 🥳 I know it’s just the start, but I’m so grateful to every single one of you for following my progress and my worldbuilding bits.

Thank you for the support. It means a lot to a writer starting from scratch. 😄

I didn't draw this image myself, I found it online many years ago, but I can't remember where, I'm sorry I can't credit the artist. It's the image that comes closest to what I have in mind.

An underground city, with well-constructed buildings just below the surface. Light filters in through a large opening in the distance, much like the mouth of a huge cavern. The lighting, however, is dim, and the entire settlement lies in semi-darkness.

Niko Sinti: the gateway to the depths.

It’s one of the most important of the seven great underground cities. Over the centuries, it has become a major trade hub, linking the surface and the Lands Below.

Even without a laptop, I’ve never stopped taking notes. My handwriting isn’t the best, but most of the time it’s legible enough. 😆

Are you a digital-only writer, or do you also have a pile of messy notebooks like me? 📖

I remember watching my brother play it, and neither of us had the slightest idea how to proceed. Man, so many memories!

I’m back! I had to change job, and my former employer “confiscated” the old laptop I'd been using up until now. 🤨

It took a moment to get a new setup, but I’m finally back on Bluesky. Nothing can stop the story! 😤

A black-and-white drawing of Nyssah, a young non-human woman with long, straight black hair. She has eyes with vertical slits for pupils, long bony claws in place of fingertips, and sharp teeth. She wears a long coat that is several sizes too big for her. A small robotic sphere flies by her side, accompanying her.

Meet Nyssah, the main character of my novel! The drawing was done by my amazing partner. 😍

One day I’d like to learn how to draw too, but for now, I'm taking it one step at a time. 😆

The genre I write is Fantasy, I also really like Sci-Fi and Horror, but I'm still learning how to handle the latter two better. 🧐

What about you? What’s your favorite genre to read or write? ✍️

What saddens me most is that in the short period of time he stopped to reflect and say "What I'm doing now doesn't satisfy me like it used to" just before he became suspicious of Kinger's absence, I think that could have been the starting point for him to understand that what he was doing was wrong.

I rewrote the entire first chapter of the book. The previous opening wasn't bad, but I realized I needed a different introduction. 🤔

Do you also have sudden changes like this in the works you're writing? I'd love to hear your experiences! 😄

I understand what you mean. I think the worst experience for any creative person is to create things for an audience that despises you.

Even though what he did is terrible, I can't help but feel sorry for Caine. These images are so cool and terrifying, congratulations!
