Doesn't suit their agenda.
They just hope the public don't find out about it.

Reform candidate for Dundee - Arthur Keith - was selected to represent the party despite calling Farage "deplorable" and his team "a complete set of c*nts" just last year.

The process was watered down into its existing format *deliberately* by Boris Johnson to ensure he couldn't ever be held responsible for anything.
This flawed process was literally designed to be this way!
And now Starmer has returned it to the proper way it should always have been.
Excellent speech from PM Keir Starmer who has clearly been let down by some members of his backroom staff.
Starmer MUST NOT resign over this - people are using the #Mandelson issue to score political points.
Stand Firm Sir Keir #IStandWithStarmer
Me too!
Thanks for posting all the video, Im sure there will be plenty who use "whataboutery" & disinformation over what was & wasn't said &/or known.
Emily Thornberry, chair of the Foreign Affiars Select Committee, has also used her time for a question to reiterate that her committee did ask the questions to officials that should have lead to this being made known sooner and they were not given the truth either, and it's all public record.
And to anyone who want's to suggest that any of this is not the truth - you must have evidence to suggest otherwise.
Because nearly all of what the PM says in on the public record with information to back it up now published.

I see so many misquotes on here accepted as "gospel truth" by people who should (& probably do) know better* that I highly recommend spending a few minutes listening to the actual words Starmer spoke.
*For example "Make Brexit Work", when what he actually always said was "Make Brexit Work Better".
It may assist you in your enquiries to learn that Olly Robbins was in charge of Brexit negotiations 2017-2019, & was then dismissed, worked for Goldman Sachs, & was only reappointed as head of Foreign Office in 2025.
Also that Pippa Crerar's husband is a senior Foreign Office official.
#JustSaying🤗
Telling the truth & giving the #Facts is always persuasive & unassailable.
Bad actors will always try to pretend otherwise, but they only gain traction with those who *want to believe* something else happened... which, when you think about it, is also the flaw with jury trials (& with magistrates).
The Press knew. They laughed.
The Tories knew. They didn’t care.
All I see now is hypocrisy.
Here is another great example of the UK and France working together and with the wider international community.
On Friday, both nations convened 51 countries for an international summit on the Strait of Hormuz.
Afterwards they issues a joint statement. Since then 14 other countries have signed it.
Wow - usually herbs are pretty safe from slugs.
Yours must be hungry! (Or possibly, French...)
Yesterday we had a journalist post on Threads to say the press doesn't like Labour and holds Labour to higher standards than other parties.
It confirms what we all knew and see every day.
But shocking that someone in the media bubble actually said it out loud!
NEW: Richard Tice failed to pay almost £100,000 in corporation tax, benefiting his investment company which made large donations to Reform UK.
First time Reform's deputy leader's tax affairs can be directly linked to finances of Nigel Farage's party.
There's a reason the classes were called "Reading & Comprehension" back in the day...
Any fool can read words out one at a time, but taking in the whole set & understanding the meaning in context is a whole different skill (particularly in English, where a comma can change *everything*...)
New Mexico & California (also a US leader in renewables) are Democrat States...
Luckily for America, States have a lot of autonomy over what they do despite Trump.
The UK PM has co-chaired a meeting 51 nations, along with the President of France, on the topic of the Strait of Hormuz & the freedom of navigation.
Isn't it great to have a PM who leads on these matters, works with the international community and work to make things better for the UK & the world?
Hmmm... then revealed at the worst possible time for Starmer by Pippa Crerar of the Guardian, whose husband is a senior offical at the Foreign Office which Olly Robbins headed.
It all stinks.
Our PM, Sir Keir Starmer, has this afternoon put out a video answering people's questions.
These focus on the NHS, specifically waiting lists, and the cost of living.
I'm just watching now and recommend you do too.

Gosh... I wonder what motivated top Civil Servant Olly Robbins to conceal Mandelson's vetting failure from Keir Starmer?🤔
In other news, Robbins was UK Chief Brexit negotiator 2017-19, then was sacked for 6yrs, then returned to head the Foreign Office in 2025😒

We have numberplate recognition & can flag up a numberplate being used in multiple locations simultaneously, uninsured or untaxed, there's no excuse.
There are easy fixes.
- insure the car, not the driver. Others do
- Govt should provide 3rd Party insurance in car tax.

Once we reach a certain "critical mass" in battery storage (any sort of battery, including using excess renewables to pump water at hydro power stations back into reservoir to generate more energy when needed, remember) we can supply consumers reliably.
Just needs subsidy for factories that use gas.
Another day, another list of announcements and achievements from our hardworking Labour Government. While the media focussed on old news and resignations they suppress all the good news.
