I guess we can thank Putin for this. Good for Ukraine, as long as they have the edge, but not the ideal vision of the future.

The EPA announced it will appoint industry representatives from chemical and other sectors to its Science Advisory Board (SAB), alongside academics and other scientists. The new appointments come more than a year after the administration “reset” the board by dismissing all of its sitting scientists.

The entire American conservative MAGA “movement” has been a Russian funded op the entire time. Follow the money. It’s a straight line from Putin to CPAC.

"The report made authoritative claims and ... cited studies that he thought were “only peripherally related to the topic.” It referenced percentages that appeared to be completely made up. The summary of Dr. Bond’s research was completely unrecognizable to him."

In a compulsory research class I stood before undergrads who clearly didn't want to be there, nor saw the need for it. I began class by asking them to imagine that the next professional they sought help from didn't think researching best practice really mattered. They got my point.
“'I’ve never experienced anything like this in my entire life,' the congresswoman said, fighting back tears.
"She described the way people were laying down inside as “like sardines.”
“'It is frightening in there,' she said. 'It is disgusting'..."

Keep up the good work, fellas!
We upset the Trump person running the US Forest Service Facebook account. Read their latest post. Read their recent Facebook post.
Here are the facts:
- Research “continues”? 57 research stations are being closed across 31 states. That’s not continuing (that’s gutting).
RFK Jr.'s lies are killing children, and more will die if he is not impeached. Visit tr.ee/removeRFKJr to contact your Rep and ask that they co-sponsor the articles of impeachment against RFK Jr.

If you go to Facebook you can comment on the U.S. Forest Service’s recent post. They’re calling out our movement because major businesses are now speaking up and that’s got them rattled. They’re spreading lies to sell you on their demolition of the Forest Service. Don’t buy it.
"President Trump’s 2027 budget request calls for a nearly 50 percent cut to NASA’s science division. We may still be able to shoot for the moon, but we’re losing the ability to understand our own world."

Can't say if he's right, have at it. A bit for the old folks though:
"Ancestors of today’s message boards, mailing lists were large group emails in old typewriter font that subscribers received in their inbox. To communicate, respondents replied-all.”
Gosh, imagine.

I did that as a kid too, umbrellas are for sissies, right? Still find them annoying actually, but had to admit it’s not fun having wet clothes all day.
To be fair, if Trump says it, who knows if he means it (or even knows what he's saying, one wonders sometimes).
The FY2027 budget requests $1.5 trillion for military spending and pays for it by gutting NOAA, FEMA grants, NIH, and fully eliminating programs that keep the lights on for struggling Americans.
Statue of a Peanuts character dressed as a wizard (I guess), raising two wands.
A very desiccated pumpkin lying on the sidewalk.
Another dried-up pumpkin, this one in an arrangement of rocks and pottery shards in someone’s front yard.
Arise, Great Pumpkin!
A photo of some decoration above a door at the Oval Office. There's a flying cherub surrounded by some trim. Everything looks like it has been covered by gold foil, like you'd find on a Cadbury bunny.
The White House put up Cadbury decorations for Easter.
Record high temperatures and low snowpack out west - what could possibly go wrong? Guess we'll never know, since it's not worth studying. Add the decimation of FEMA (and medical insurance), well, I hope it doesn't get as bad as it could. It's a government of fools.

"“There have been times where I’ve had to swallow my pride and be like, ‘OK, this is not what I want, but I know God wants me to submit to my husband,’” she said. “God’s going to reward me when I get to heaven for my obedience.”"
What's the reward, I wonder?

Tolkien fans will recognize Erebor as the "Lonely Mountain" where a greedy dragon hoarded a pile of stolen gold for 200 years.
I know anyone likely to see this already knows, but just in case - we need to try and fix this. Someone tell Dear Leader.

There are some pretty violent and weird things in the Bible, to be fair.
Do we still do mutinies? Because an endless deployment plus sleeping on a table plus a crowd of crewmates in dirty clothes, well. Let’s up the grog ration.
