It’s after the last CH event of the year…(from the rulebook below) - so next Monday.

It took me by surprise - I didn’t realise how much of a drop-off they had in tennis interest/warching (said friends have also had babies over the last few years, so that’s probably a factor too)

I did think he’d coach/develop a younger player - but it also doesn’t sound long-term - so he can still do that too in the future I guess

Using my anecdotal yardstick….I’ve had friends message me about this that haven’t watched tennis in a while (and were casual fans)…and they’re saying it will get them watching the AO again this year.

They almost always promote the resort on social media and often there’s a tennis clinic for hotel guests too…so think this is the case 99% of the time…

Tanzania seems to be doing it too this year (Cobolli, Cazaux) so that’s a bit of a change at least

Paul didn’t win a set in his RR DC matches last year (against lower ranked players) so can kind of understand that choice - even though it didn’t work out in the end.
