Laws have strict rules. Gravity and evolution are theories because we still can't fully explain them.

I have just spent two days writing specifications for code that I would have traditionally expected a month to build. Claude generated about 50% of the code yesterday! But it did need those two days of specs!

Same, dude. I think my dad died a couple of years ago, but we were so distant I have never tried to find out. He remarried after my mother died and his new wife and kids were just better social matches for him than I ever could be.

Logically I should be bitter and resentful, but I'm just not.

My back has been aching for five days in the run up to my 43rd birthday. Like it somehow knows.

The teachers at my kid's school organised a collective fund with a local book shop, which they use to restock the library. A good idea, and enormously wholesome

Speaking as a senior manager, that sounds totally fair

I am 42 and I still absolutely love Christmas every year. Nothing needs to change, except your perspective.

I don't know, one of my smartest colleagues is going hard on llms to optimise the development process. There's definitely still an early adopter feel to folks who are pushing ai hard, but it feels like it could well be something very big.

Glad to see the separation of church and state is going well, then

I remember once picking up a co-worker on the way into the office. He wasn't a morning person and always looked miserable in the mornings. One morning I lined up the star wars theme tune to begin our journey. It was the first time I had seen him smile before 10am!

I'm very confused. I googled "mechanical detailing" and it seems to be either maintaining stuff or making schematics of stuff. I do not know how this relates to cleaning.

Most house spiders aren't native, they're largely from the tropics, and arrive here on fruit. They can't survive in the UK climate, it's too cold for them.

As an engineering manager, I can guarantee it is the second. My concern is that ai is going to dissuade people from training as engineers, so the problem will get worse.
